748x numbers

- 1I received a call from this number on my cell phone at 1:44 PST. Did not leave a message. Attempting to identify the caller from a landline and reached a "fast-busy" tone twice. Blocked this caller from my cell phone.
- 5New York does have area code "718". Area code "748" does not exist per Verizon Core (Ma Bell) & Wikipedia.
- 1Someone called suggesting he was from an advisory service(supposedly connected in some way with the government!!!) and i was due a refund for PPI (i think - line very bad). When I said thats fine send it to me, he was less than polite, telling me to f... off before hanging up. Needless to say he is...
