(something) cardholder services.
Claimed that there are no current problems with my account, but it is urgent that I speak with them about lowering my interest rates and that I won't get any final notices. Press 1 to speak to someone, or 3 to discontinue further notices.

The something sounded like "reto" but I'm not sure. I imagine part of it is cut off. I don't have an account with anyone that has "reto" in the name, or similar.

Be careful with this one. I have heard about some scams going around and I think this may be one of them.

I answered the phone, received a recorded message telling me this was my final notice (of many "final" chances lol) to receive a lower interest rate.  I pressed 1 to speak to an operator. Young man came on the lines and I simply told him to put me on a don't call list.  We'll see what happens.

I pressed on, he asked in a foreign voice if I pressed on for lower interest rates. I said no, I pressed on to have my number taken off their call list as I have pressed 3 many times in the past to no avail. By that time he had hung up.

these guys have been calling for months.  same recording as everyone else mentioned.  this time i pressed "1" and funny enough i said the same thing as pissymcfirepants did.  "No, I pressed one to be taken off your call list".  the guy just hung up on me.  it sounded like i woke him up.

next time they call, i'll pretend i'm interested for a while and see what kind of information they try to get from me.

Called yet again. This time went through the whole deal answering all the questions, wrong of course. He said he was in Texas. Never did understand the name of the company his engrish was so poor.

Without knowing my name, bank, card etc. he said " now your interest will be lower" I have a feeling I will get a call again.

I have the same, trying to call me 5/6 times a day. Answered it once to begin with and just got cut off, prob cos I don't have any international call plan availabel. Will continue after reading this page.  Has anyone who HAS answered the call checked their billing situation since? Wondering if they some how reverse charge and keep you on the phone as long as possible to real in your money.

I received this call today, and I was thinking "+000000?" what kind of number is this? so I just decided to ignore it. I was trying to find information about who they are and what they want.

We've also had this call.  The person on the other end checks if I'm a specific person...presumably someone who they think has our phone number, and I've played it through and got the name of the company, usually Nationwide.  But the guy made a huge mistake and said it was "Nationwide Bank" not Building society.  I told them to put us on a no-call list and he just hung up.

The number wasn't 00000 but +0011111
