The number calls often, sometimes 5 times a day. It disconnects when we pick up.

Twice an hour, every other hour, every day...

0000000 kept calling my phone and come to find out it was Blockbuster asking for their movie back.

Had several calls from this number in the last few days, mostly in the morning. Caller always hangs up on answering machine. I also have call screening service from Pac Bell on this landline, and when I use the feature to add the last caller to the blocking list I get an error that the caller's phone number is not available, so I can't even block calls from them. This is odd since call screening service uses ANI not caller ID (i think) and I can always add calls with blocked caller ID to the call blocking list, call screening just says the number I added is a private number. So maybe the calls are coming from out of the country and have no ANI ?

They called again Sunday morning. I was home, picked up the call, a woman said she is calling from Venture Research Partners and is conducting a survey about consumer stuff. I stopped her and asked to "put my number on your do-not-call list".

These people call most weeks despite being on the TPS - Some man says "this is the captain of the ship" and then they ask questions like in a survey, really annoying.grrr!

Calls many times but never a message. I do not answer any calls that do not display the business name.

Three times they called today, three times they hung up

Got a call from 0000000 at 17.55 today, left to go to answer machine and caller put down phone.

caled taday,said they where "compensation specialist's" i hung up

0000000 it calls twice a day .they know my husbands name and that its a debt managment company

I used to get this call all the time. I recently went on thr do not call registry and re-submitted my number and I haven't got a call since. Give it a try!

I am getting a numerous amount of these calls and to put it politely they are a damned nuisance if you are upstairs and have to rush down.

Just got my first call from this 000-000-0000 5 minutes ago, if they keep calling like others have been reporting, my boss is NOT going to like it, as my cell phone is a company phone!

the fone rang 5mins ago 4 ages when i answered it they hung up, n when i done 1471 it was 0000000. How strange is that i think some 1 should inform the police!

Diden't understand what the person said. I said Excuse me and she said "sorry wrong number".

I too recieved calls from this number. They were very rude and made rude comments about me, even thought they don't know me (hopefully) They might be stalkers but i don't know for sure yet. Since I'm lying about this whole thing im gonna go now. So hope you all figure out who's calling you! say chickenauguaguaguaaaaa

Oh! and i know how to make prank callers  stop calling you! You just say that you will connect them to the police and the police can and will find out who the prank caller is. I did that and they didn't call back again.

this strange number just called me, im in the uk. what a strange number, i rang 1471 and cant seem to call them back!

I actually had a call from this number yesterday on my works number (i work for a local government office).

I asked why they were calling and the gentleman said he was calling on behalf of the British Government for a company called Debt Advice Bureau, i asked were he was calling from and he said an office in Leicester and then admitted actually he was calling from South East Asia.

He was quite rude and i told him to take my name and number off their list and to stop calling me, he said "No, No, No, No - give me your home number and i will call you there".

I told him to stop calling me or else i would be reporting him to the Police for harassment and i slammed the phone down as he was still talking.

I emailed the company that he reported to be calling on behalf and received a response this morning, he does not work for this particular company and they don't contact people in this way.  They were very helpful and pointed me in the direction of this website, consequently this gentleman was a cold caller and they tend to use a variety of company names but once they get your name and a contact number they call on a regular basis.

I have had to apologise to my work colleagues and ask that no-one give out any of my personal contact numbers but i am going to borrow a football whistle from one of my children and will use this down the phone the next time i get one of these calls.
