August 9th, in the evening.

I received a called from 000-000-0000. I know at some point I did block it, so I let it go to voicemail, listened to the message and it was an automated recording about a movie due at Blockbuster, even though it is not past due.

This is a weird one. My brother has his own cell phone, yet it's only for an emergency-biases (he's younger than 13 [for privacy reasons]). The phone he has has a special setup so that you can input what numbers can call it and block the others. This is what my mother did; she inputted the immediate family's cell numbers as well as the house phone on it and block anything that isn't one of those numbers.

Somehow, a BLOCKBUSTER called informing 'him' that there are several movies that he has yet to return (what I find funny is how they mispronounced half the titles 'Prince Monake' wtf?!) and what seemed to be usual business for late returners (I don't know, I've never rented a movie and had a call to return it late). This was an automated message and I only listened to it after it left a voice mail on my brothers cell phone.

Usually when I get a call from 000-000-0000 it is a recorded call from Blockbuster saying I have a movie due back.  But once I answered expecting it to be Blockbuster and it was a survey.

At about six o'clock in the afternoon today, I recieved a call from "Unknown Name 000-000-0000". I thought it was the weirdest thing. Since then they've called two more times and I don't doubt they'll be calling again. There's no message or anything, so I have no idea who are what it is. There should be a way to block this number 'cause I am constantly getting harassed by other bill collectors / telemarketers and the last thing I need is another one.

We have been getting these same calls for years. Yes, years. Never answered them, never will! In fact, why don't these guys use *67 (make the call private) instead of illegal (or even legal) caller ID spoofing!

I have been getting calls from this number. AT&T Wireless said for 4.99/Month, they might be able to block it. But they couldn't give me any info on it. The phone companies are the ones that need to fix the problem.

000-000-0000 is offering free cell phone and service for one year. The guy had an "Indian" Bombay accent and you could hear other voices in the background with the same "pitch."  Definitely a scam.  If it's free, it can't be real. Ignore or delete as soon as possible.

I don't know about other states, but here in Arizona, it is ILLEGAL for ANY business that wants/requests/demands money (telemarketers, collection agencies, etc.) to block/spoof/send OUT OF AREA for caller ID... it MUST be their actual phone number.  If I get a 000-000-0000, 800/888/877 area code or unavailable/out of area, i simply pick up and hang up.

I keep my anonymous call reject on at all times.

I'm sitting here waiting for a long distance call with news about a relative in cardiac intensive care undergoing a dangerous procedure. The phone has rung over 18 times today. Ten of these calls were from 000-000-0000.
Aug 18: Two calls.
Aug 19: Three calls. She said she had a survey that she would like to have answered. I told the caller when to call to get the person she requested. She would not leave a message.
Aug 20: Five calls. None of these calls came during the time period I suggested on the previous day.
Aug 21: Today I've received 10 calls from this number. Just now I answered the phone. Same schtick. He wouldn't leave a message. Didn't ask when might be a better time to call. Mumbled something about a survey. When I asked if he'd been the pwrson calling repeatedly from this number, he hung up.
***I can't express to you how utterly annoying this is.*** There must be a way for my phone company to trace the commercial phone number used to make these calls. This is harassment and almost amounts to a "denial of service" for my phone line.

The call today hung up as soon as I answered.
