I received 4 calls again from this number and it is not even 2pm yet today.  I decided to answer in order to try to find out who this is and get them to stop calling me.  On the 4th time someone picked up on the other end.  Turns out that this number is being used by my local congresswoman, Democrat Allyson Schwartz, as part of some kind of voter registration campaign.  I am beyond furious.  Every election since about 8 years ago I get ceaseless phone calls from the Democrats usually starting about 2 weeks prior to the election.  During the PA primary a few months ago "Hillary Clinton" was calling me with recorded messages to vote for her roughly 10 times a day.  At that time I called her campaign headquarters and asked them to STOP CALLING ME.  THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T!!!  I ended up having to take my phone off the hook for 2 weeks.  Unbelievable.   In the past I have even complained to both Allyson Schwartz's campaign office AND THE PENNSYLVANIA DEMOCRATIC committe watchamacallit about how annoying these calls are and how THEY NEED TO STOP OR WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEM.  I am now beyond fedup.  I will be changing my party registration (hopefully to something like undeclared, libertarian, or even communist) in an effort to stop these calls.  Also, come November, I will vote republican, just to protest these disgusting harrassing tactics of the Democratic party.

This number and out of the area call and say he is from The Pharmacy and when I ask him which pharmacy he says the pharmacy. He knows some of the drugs, but there not mine but my mothers, which I get for her. I have asked them before to remove me from there calling list. They keep calling every day, I asked them which pharmacy they were from and then I blew up and told them to stop calling me and I was going to turn them in. So I plan to look up on the internet and see if there is a site by the name The Pharmacy, and if there is I am going to contact them and tell them to stop contacting me.
If there isn't the next time they call I will be real nice and listen and record they and see if I can get there real phone number to turn over to the police.

I wish to register my opinion regarding telecommunications providers’ inability to screen ‘ghost number’ scams over the telephone system.

The potential victim will receive calls from numbers like 111-222-3334 or 000-000-0000.

If you DO fit the profile you are then prompted to speak to someone, that person assaults this listener with promises of lowering credit card rates and will ask for a credit card number, in order to complete the request.

If you DON’T fit the profile, the con is to promote something else.

Also you might be prompted to push 3, add to ‘do not call list’ then the line will hang up after 3 is pushed.

Now, that being said, I do understand that the choice to divulge personal information over the telephone ultimately lies with the person at home (also includes cell phone users).

The service providers are unable to stop these scams.  They claim these numbers are ‘spoofed’ numbers, whoever called manipulated the caller ID to display an incorrect phone number.  Could they manipulate the caller ID to resemble a Banks’ information?  If so, people would believe they are speaking to their Banker!

Scary.

These numbers are not listed and furthermore, they do NOT appear on customers’ phone bills because the phone provider has NO RECORD of any received calls from the above mentioned ‘spoof’ numbers.   You can block these numbers (not guaranteed), but for a fee.  Then the customers are paying for protection rather then the telecommunications companies filtering out these ‘spoof’ calls before they reach the customer.

I am unable to determine where these numbers come from, take into account my limited access to the required resources.

How can these numbers have access into the telecommunication grid?

Today the caller id is being compromised.  Tomorrow it may be copying key tones to determine card numbers and access numbers.  I am simply stating an opinion regarding the possible security issue in the above-mentioned sectors.

We keep getting calls on our home phone with the 000 number, too.  I tried to block the calls, but they just kept coming through.  I phoned our phone company, Charter, and they wanted $20.00 to trace the calls, but would not tell me who was calling and would only report it to the local police station.  And...it didn't guarantee the calls would stop.  The 000 number has now called 9 times in the past 2 days.  One time I picked up the phone and sat on the line for 5 minutes thinking I would get a telemarketer or something, but no one ever came on the line.  This is harassment!

I got a call from this number they told me that i will be recieving a $5000 Government grant. I thought it was great because i've been signing up for loans and all. later down the line they told me that i would have to give some form of donation to India. They explained that the least i could do after recieving $5000 in free grant money i could donate at least $500. Then they told me They won't send the grant money until i transfer this donation to india. I knew that grant would be to good to be true.

Yeah, I got a call on Aug 25.

Me  : Hello?
Them: I need to speak to "NAME First and Last"
Me  : Who is this? from where? Who are you?
Them: This is Jill, from the council of the Indian nation.
Me  : What Indian Nation?
Them: Yes, are you xxxxx?
Me  : I'm xxxx.
Them: Sir, were calling because were experiencing an emergency food crisis in the southwest reservation. And right now were conducting a ball foot program and were allocating 11 cents from you per person.
Me  : (slam! the phone.)

Well, which southwest? which reservation of what? Why 11 cents? are you really collecting only 11 cents?

Anyway, I really don't care about the food crisis.

Telemarketter, please donate on my behalf and don't call.

I should've stayed on longer!

I've gotten 73 calls from 000-000-0000 since August 13. The few time I did answer all I got was either staticy music or could I hear telemarketer drones in the background. They never leave a message. Perhaps it's Homeland Security checking to see if someone will answer in Farsi saying "Death to all Infidel's.
Hell, I don't speak good English, much less some Arabic tongue. How can you make it stop?
