this number called around 6 pm, the phone rang 5 times then the machine picked up and they hung up, this is the first time they have called and i find it odd since i am on the do not call list

Got call from 00000100. Thai/Indonesian voice confirmed my name and then disconnected the call. It sounded as if the person was calling from a call centre or a crowded place.

Got call from +00000100. An asian woman (i think) said my name and disconnected the call. Weird

Received a call from +1 00000100 - so appears to be from USA.  I didn't answer.  Has there been anyone identify who these are from yet?

It is a scam call known as “wangiri scam”, its designed to either have you call back or just pick up the line and keep you there until you hang up, the point of which you get charged for the call either way and the money goes to them (much like any other charge-to-talk service like and adult chat line or psychic hotline).
