Makes me very concerned

A tape started playing as soon as i picked up. "This is the captain of you ship calling...You have been chosen to win 4 tickets to the Bahamas....." (or words to that effect). It was at this point i hung up and did '1471'. I've no idea of the origin of the number. Please help?

I've just had the same kind of phone call although it was from a different number. I have caller ID but nothing showed up (!)

It said something about winning a holiday to the Bahamas/Florida etc but I just hung up after about 5 seconds. Dialled 1471 (I'm in UK) and the number listed went on for eveeeeer. It was 01145756621456. I hung up. I've heard of scam phone calls where it ends up costing you a bomb! I hope this wasn't one of them!

I have had one of these calls today playing what sounded like a recorded message starting 'this is the captain of yuor ship calling'. I hung up at this point and dialled 1471 (twice) on both occasions the message was still playing! At the third attempt I got the number 00010000000000

Anyone any idea where these calls originate from? Reported to my line rental company but they were unable to help.

I had this morning at 10.00 and then 11.00 any idea here they are calling from?

I had a call from 01145756621456 yesterday. Thankfully I was out at the time and only found it via 1471, but was curious as to what it was, and ended up here. I've only had a land line for two months and am sick to death already of the amount of cold calls we've had!

"This is the captain of your ship calling" Hopefully the SS Titanic....

i had the same call today, pressed 1471 got number as 00010000000000, its driving me mad
