Received a call from this phone number. Area code is 000 and the rest of the number is 1234567 ?!?!?

000-123-4567 is skype out.  That's someone using Skype.  just a wrong number.

Most definately a Skype node.

I just found this comment on another forum: "It's just a 'spoofed' caller ID, possibly from someone you know. You can do it too. Spoofcard time can be purchased at http://www.spoofcard.com"

Hey dale me too. I'm really scared and I'm only 13 but I did research on it and an area code od 000 is from tanzania or uganda so idk well 1234567 is a not normal number so I'm glad a found another person

The man said his name was Gabriel and he asked for someone who did not live at this address. He sounded Hispanic. How do I get this to stop?  He was rude and continued to speak.

Got this call on my cell .... saw the area code "000" and just sent it to voice.  No message left.

Writing it as either prank call from kids on skype or a scum fraudster with invalid caller id.

It may also be a screwed up misconfigured auto-dialer system.

Either way... I figure if people have something legitimate to say, they aren't spoofing their caller ID or telephone number.  They can leave a message or... omigod, actually write me? :)

got a call from same number asking for  an ad i placed on craigslist months ago. figured out it was skype

received a call today, Aug 18, 2010 and answered it. Asked what it was about and the guy said FedEx and then silence so I hang up. Did not have any FedEx shipment coming so I guessed that it was either a scam or a mistake. Next time I will say that I am glad that they called as I was getting ready to filke a complaint with the Federal Interstate commission about being ripped off by FedEx. Critter

I got a call today august the 25 2010 answered it theb ladyname        was   sara. she state that you     have house for sale how much you asked for it i said how did get my nunber you should call the broker not my cell phone .I called the broker she that didnot have my phone number on the information

Received a call from this #, however I didn't answer it. If companies or individuals think this is a good way to get me on the phone, they're sadly mistaken because I would never answer a call like this.

Just received a Skype popup requesting that I add the number to my contact list. Rolled over to my cell--voicemail asked to be added to contact list.

I spend money for spoofid, does not work for skype phone, just waste $$$$. I got and I phone and use mcleaner, problem so, this app work great with just a few bug, but very helpful

I got a call at 11:06pm tonight (Dec 12, 2010) with the name "oayatenei"  I let it just ring by itself until it stopped.  Then just one minute later, I got a call from "0001234567".

I googled both oayatenei and 0001234567 and found nothing for oayatenei but found this page from a search result for 0001234567.  I let both calls ring until end, and neither one left a voicemail.

Weird.  And I read through the comments here and everyone is saying the 001234567 is from Skype.  Well, I don't even use Skype.  I may have signed up for it about 5 or more years ago but I have never placed a call with it or logged on more than twice it's a totally abandoned account.  So it's strange that anyone would be calling anything Skype-related to me or from Skype to my phone.  Even if it is from a person  using Skype, that tells me nothing about who it was or why they called -- this is what everyone here wants to know!  So who was it and why call?

And this oayatenei thing is even weirder, I can't find any info on that at all.  Does anyone have any clue?
