This number called for the first time yesterday and twice so far today. I did not answer as it had the usual dodgy look. The second time the voicemail was activated but no message was left.

Have had several calls from this number over the last few weeks. i always let machine pick up and they hang up. If anyone knows who they are i'd like to know!!

I get several calls a day from this number. I let the answering machine answer but they never leave a message. With so many unsolicited cals I "let the machine take the strain".

I've heard a nasty rhumour that these numbers are a way of tricking your modem into thinking its being used,thus leaving your computer and alls it's contents open to access and viruses. DO NOT RING IT BACK AND DO NOT ANSWER IT as this opens the connection. i've had loads of similar numbers usually starting 00... long numbers that don't make any sense (no obvious exchange prefix)
