The statement fpr my mobile telephone account shows that three calls were made to this number simultaneously from my phone at a cost of £1.50 each in the past week.

I have been receiving around 12-15 messages from this number and each message charged 1.50, so every month I have been paying 20-25 pound every month without realising.

This is a scam. Children are enticed to a free ringtone download by texting to 88888. They are then told to enter their mobile number. This then puts them into a underhand subscription for £4.50 per week. It is charged by self texting to a premium line 3 times 0008788888 at £1.50 a shot.

My  son  is  receiving  messages  from  0008788888.  He  continues  to  receive  them,  how  do  we  stop  this ?
