Called today - man's voice claiming to be from "Windows Technical Support". The old story ...
allegedly my computer has problems that are showing up on the internet. You know the rest. Informed him that we know it's a scam, and that he and his colleagues are preying on vulnerable people.  He hung up eventually.

I tried reporting this online to the ICO (https://ico.org.uk/) but the "scam calls and messages" link takes you to "Action Fraud" which asks a lot of questions but doesn't ask for the phone number or any specific details, it's more of a survey form. As to the TPS (and we all know what use that is) Firefox doesn't want to go there, claiming that the address is "untrusted". Eventually, called the ICO's "Action Fraud" number 03001232040.

Incidentally, the little box below for "call type" doesn't have an entry for "scam" so I've put "unknown".

Postscript: had a thought, tried accessing the TPS via Chrome. No problems.

Recieved a call today about my computer from a man saying he was from windows support.i did not believe him and rang off

Scam call saying my computer had a problem asking me to go and fetch my computer to the phone. Realising it was a scam I said I did not deal with this kind of call on the tephone and I would contact local dealer and rang off.

The usual nonsense of cold calling - allegedly by "Windows Technical Support". I immediately demanded to know who supplied my number and solicited the call as I had not and since I was registered with TPS I was not happy - at which point the Indian lady got very confused and hung up.

I never received any call like this as i have put my phone on voice message..this fraud call never put any message..i m fed up with this type of scam..

The usual attempted computer scam, but at least the asian woman calling gave an original name - Veronica !.
I laughed, told her I knew she was a crook, and hung up. Seriously though it really is time someone in authority grasped this nettle and put and end to these calls.

Caller was an Indian lady who claimed to be from Windows, that my computer had all sorts of problems ("very, very bad!") & that she would sort them out for me. I said "pardon?" a lot, eventually told her I would switch the computer on, that it takes ages to boot up, & managed to string her along for nearly 5 minutes before she hung up ... quite fun if you have the time to waste!

Seriously though, it's a scam & they want to hack your computer.

Call from "Jason", awful line so asked him to repeat everything. Apparently the Windows servers had registered that I had a Trojan. I asked him if that would still be true as my laptop runs Ubuntu, this threw him somewhat, I then asked him for his real name and when he wasn't forthcoming told him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor as I wanted to report a scam. He hung up!

Woman with appalling English told me my computer had a fault.  I told her not to be so silly and hung up.  Honestly, if it's not people like her, it's the one where 'someone in your house has had a car accident in the last couple of years...'  I do enjoy winding these people up though!

i told them to ring back and speak to my husband at 10am ,he said I have problems with windows and email.Lets see if he bothers.I will get my husband to say he is a policeman.

I keep on getting silent calls from 0013122014. Getting fed up with these calls. Help please stop.
