Found on the call log of my BT8500 'phone.  It showed as having followed an "International" call 10 minutes before which also didn't get past.   Neither get past the Call Guardian feature on the 'phone so it doesnt even ring. In total there were  three nuisance calls in the past 24 hours which didn't get through to bother me.

This is a call centre, the give away 'ma'am' and accent of the caller suggested Malaysia, rather than India. He said he was calling on behalf of 'the pension review centre' which he alleged was authorised by the U.K. government to review my pension. I THINK NOT. I put the phone down...these are scammers! I have had numerous unanswered calls recently all starting with 00161 which I suspect were from the same company. Beware!

I just had exactly the same Jean!  I am so glad I have this 'phone with the Call Guardian feature.  Not one nuisance call since I got them over a year ago and I used to get stacks.

Caller with foreign name and accent claiming to be from the pension review centre, spiel from caller was basicially they wanted to advise me that pensions in the uk are loosing money and she was going to better that, advised her i worked for a financial provider and she immediatly hung up. DO NOT ANSWER OR PROVIDE THESE SCAMMERS WITH ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION

Just received a call from this number ,thanks for comments, put phone down .

They left an unintelligible message on my answer phone.

I am getting fed up with calls like this

Scammer trying to ask pension questions, asked for a name that has never lived here and then said she would be able to "help me". Told her never to call me again and I hung up.
This seems to be happening more and more often.

I found the accent and pitch of voice difficult to comprehend,
They said they where regulated by the FCA and were calling about recent changes in pension regulations.
They knew my name and then went on to ask if I had a private pension.
I replied that if they where authorised they would already know the answer to this question so I believed it to be a hoax call.
They threatened to phone me everyday until I understood!
I felt intimidated
