rang 10:30 BST, never pick up suss calls like this but allow to go to a/fone; as usual no message, just rang off - spoofed number as not valid ITSD code

Scammers claiming fault with your windows system. They try to gain control remotely.
I wasted 30mins of his time before I got bored!

Claimed to be from BT Openreach. Unusally convincing. Claimed I was having problems with my broadband.

Said they were from BT Cybersecurity (?). Was a lady with Inidan accent, told me they call me from London and my computer is infected and sending out spam mails with hidden files. She wanted me to boot up my computer and hand me over to a technician who will guide me through the system to solve the problem. Then I hung up.

The caller told me that his organization is getting steaditly fault reports from my Windows OS, that it is running at high risk and I should follow his instructions to fix that all. I began to make my jokes with him and at last he said I was a criminal. Finally he hung up.

Same like Charly. The caller speaks broken english. It sounds pretty untrustworthy.

Same thing: Also got such a call. My tip: Just hang up!

Caller claimed to be from BT Open Reach and talked about deducting high volume of web usage and issues relating to my number. When queried that it seemed to be a scam the lady caller asked if I hadn't heard the company she had mentioned 'in the first line'? When I said it seemed like a scam to me she immediately rang off.

They have called me many times before. Today though when I wouldn't play along with their 'windows virus on pc' game the guy on the phone said he would come to my house tonight and rape me and my family. not sure how he will get here all the way from India in time?
Tried to report to BT but they can't do much except try and sell me one of their phones for £40 which can stop the nuisance callers. No point contacting police as they are not even in the UK

i just got a call from a indian women she said that they was something wrong with my router and that she can fix it if i let her take control of my computer, i said no and put the phone down.

I got a phone call from this number at 10:02 this morning. As is my usual practice with calls that seem to be international, I didn't say anything but waited for the person on the other end to speak. I could hear people talking in the background, so obviously a call centre. I put the handset down on the table and went to make a cup of coffee. When I came back they had rung off. At least I prevented them from making a nuisance call to someone else for a few minutes.

Said they were from BT.  Hung up when validity challenged

telephone number  001793596931 rang me today to tell me there was something on my PC that should not be on it The woman sounded Asian and said she was from BT and  she was going to disconnect me from the internet.I told her Sky supplied my land line and broadband but she said that made no difference  as all my services came through BT.Anyway the internet did malfunction and I was disconnected for some time until Skys engineer over the phone fixed my service and he said it was a coincidence

A woman with perhaps indian accent rang today: "Hi Sir, do you speak english?" I said "no" and she gave up after several seconds of hesitance. In hindsight, that was the best answer.

Had a call from this number 12:36GMT today. Indian lady claimed to be from BT Openreach, and wanted to "fix" some broadband issues. My phone handset said it was an international number. I hung up.

Got a call from this number today. A women named Rose speaking broken English (possible Indian). She didn't beat around the bush and came straight to the point saying " I want money. I want your money ". Goes without saying I then hang up....

A man with an Indian accent rang today saying he was from BT and that my internet speed was not what I had been promised.  He then requested that I turned my computer on in order to check the speed. When I told him I was not switching my computer on he asked what I was doing wasting his time!  I felt compelled to point out that it was he that was wasting my time and hung up.

Called at 8.40am. I had worked a night shift so not pleased they woke me. Rang off by the time I reached the phone.

Said they were Unicom
