After someone calling repeatedly from the number 01363 772407 claiming to be from BT Openreach, the same is happening with this number. They tell you there's a problem with your computer/internet connection, i.e. obvious scam. The man got quite rude when I challenged him to tell me my name (which a legit caller from BT would know). Will ignore in future.

Yes - I'm getting this a lot at the moment. Obviously a scam. Have just told 'John' from 'BT Openreach' to f**k off but don't know if this will knock me off their list.

A woman called me from this number yesterday and I strung her along to waste her time before telling her I'm not that stupid.  She slammed the phone down.  Lo and behold the same woman tried again today, so I kept her on a bit longer pretending to be doing what she was telling me on my laptop and this time she was quite rude before slamming the phone down on me.  At least it stopped her scamming someone else while she was trying to con me!
Interestingly though I recently switched to unlimited broadband as my limited usage started to run out each month apparently on emails that hadn't been sent by me and also running slow, so I'm now wondering if it was/is these people responsible for that and that is why they are so confident I would have noticed something wrong recently.  I think I might just pass on their telephone number to my broadband provider.

Been having the same for the last two days. This morning I had a very nice chat with the lady who called, eventually explaining that if they called me again I would be reporting them to the police. At which point they got rather rude, so I hung up.

This number calls EVERY day at least once and sometimes 2 or 3 times. When I see the number I don't answer it but it doesn't stop the phone from ringing and disturbing my elderly parents. They called this morning, I answered it and told them to STOP calling my number - they HUNG UP!

Guy rings me telling me he is from BT Openreach bla bla bla and my internet is being hacked. Very  persuasive so I told him Id like to confirm everything with my broadband provider first and to ring back in an hour, he didnt. Little Indian scammers beware.

Several calls from this number over past weeks.  Mostly they hang up when I answer but today a lady called Sally gave the blurb mentioned in previous posts. When my husband let her rabbit on eventually she said [***] and hung up.  5 minutes later a man phoned so I spoke in Spanish to him and he hung up.

Called yesterday by a couple who said they worked for BT.  They claimed someone had tried hacking into my computer and asked me to do virus tests.  Ha ha. They sounded as though they were in a call centre, most convincing.  I downloaded their software, but stopped when the woman asked how old was I.  I was told I needed to renew my SM licence.  Nearly had me on this one, sorry to say.

Come on people. They are all scams. The sooner you stop dealing with these people, the sooner they will stop calling. Regret that Telephone Preference Service can do nothing about them. In the end they are usually offensive calling you names because you know that they are scammers.

Same ol' same ol', when will people ever learn? All these types of calls are scams, how the hell do they know what's on your PC?, it's obvious they're trying to scam you. Unfortunately the TPS can't block these calls from outside the UK. I ask the caller if they are religious or superstitious and if they say yes I tell them that I have just put a spell on them and within the next 10 days someone close to them will die! That usually stops them calling again.
