Also got a call about a virus, I asked the guy if he was actually trying to phish me via phone instead of email. He hung up when I asked exactly why he was calling.

Got missed call from this number earlier. Didn't answer as figured it was a scam number. Glad I didn't. This is so annoying that people can call you like this! My parents got call while ago and my brother answered. He asked them to tell him what internet provider they were with, what pc they had and needless to say they couldn't give the info so he told them he knew it was a scam and never to call again.

Just got a call today about the same thing. They are from Microsoft telling me I had a virus. They are still at it so be careful.

Seems like they are targeting the Irish and Dutch people, must think we are thick!!!!

this number called my house today !! it was an indian woman and her name was june ! i put her onto my dad and she said there was a virus on are computer and she would tlak it off this happened us before and we called microsoft while they were doing the cheak because we didnt no and they said pull the phone line out becxause we called on teh mobile to microsaoft and then they said it was a scam ! if they call you again start aonnnying them ! my dad did and she hung up !! if this happens ring microsaoft and they will put u onto this company and thell tell you wat to do !! the 1srt time it happened it was a privite number !!

yep same thing here in ireland twice in 2 days now i am a computer and phone systems engineer. and when these fools come on  i love to play the fool with them asking which is the power button,and my cd is spinning is that right ?. telling them i only bought it  yesterday,and i dont know how to work it.i can usually get 20-30 mins out of them before they go mad. hahah

I got 2 calls today from Ron Parker of the IRS ☺Same story, our computer being attacked by a very dangerous virus, he could solve it. I told him a was a bit stupid and could only push the power button. But this of course turned Ron on and he encouraged me to take action right away and promised to help me, I only needed to follow his instructions. I tried to stay friendly, husband would not like stupid me touching his computer and told him to call again when my husband would be home at 17h00. I informed the police and sent a mail to family and friends to warn them all. A few minutes past 17h00 Ron Parker of the IRS called again. Shame on me for not being so friendly
anymore! I hope these criminals will be caught soon!!!!!!!!!!

Just received a call (Ireland) from this number an Indian lady claiming to be from Microsoft and that I had a virus. When I asked how she got my number, she told me the R&D dept got it. I questioned this and she hung up. I wish I stringed her along with BS now. Is ther anyone that I should report his to.

Had a missed call from this number on 17th august 2011.
I called back as I had been expecting a call and thought this might be it.
Man answered and said hold on, lot of background noise. When he returned to phone he made out like he could not hear me.

Was just callebd by the same number. It was and Indian sounding guy trying to tell me something about my computer not working properly. I hung up on him. I am from Groningen, The Netherlands.

I did have the same cal somthing about computer that he could fix it. I hung up and turned of the computer.

Got call from this number today. Guy speaking bad English. Sounded like "I like Jihad". I hung up. No idea what it was about.

Just got it too, my wife answered the phone asked who was callin and then passed it to me where i told that mofo never to ring back...... and I just hung up.

I keep getting phone calls from this number: 00253820308. How can I BLOCK this caller? The caller is trying to get my credit card number. He says he is from Microsoft and that they have been getting "error" messages from my computer and that they need to correct it. He says that my computer has viruses and is about to "crash".

Just got a call from the same number, telling me I have a virus on my PC and asking for passwords.
Absolute Scam Beware.

I'm also in Ireland and have just had a call from "Mark Benson" with a very strong Indian accent calling me with the same story.  I strung him along for a few minutes until I told him that we didn't have a Windows pc - we have a Mac - but he still tried to convince me that I was running Windows on our Mac.  Eventually I told him that I didn't have a Microsoft Windows on my Mac and therefore I couldn't have a Windows virus, could I?  Stupid man just said "Oh...." and before he started again I thanked him for his call and said goodbye.  Thank god for the forums and sites like this who warn you about the scammers of this world!
