Very bombastic woman who wanted the name of the "owner" of the internet t my home. When I said I don't give out personal details to strangers she told me to stop wasting her time. Well, she phoned me, know what I mean? Apparently she didn't like my response and she hung up on me...

got called from that number when not at home. no connection when calling back. looking up the 00441803 that is in Devon, UK.so some strange company must have their base there?

0044 is the international code for 'phoning the UK from overseas.  The rest of the number is rubbish.  Judging from other posts on here this is the usual fake Skype or VOIP number used by the computer virus scammers. They try to get remote access to your computer and if they do, they install spyware/malware to steal your info. Many claim to be calling on behalf of Microsoft, but neither Microsoft nor its partners would ever 'phone you.  It would be a breach of their privacy rules.  No-one who 'phones you knows anything about your computer.  They rely on scare tactics and lack of computer knowledge.  Everything they tell you is lies, framed to prey on your fears.  You would not hand over personal info to a stranger in the street, so why give it to a stranger on the @phone.

I live in Germany and got a phonecall from this UK number today. The man calling spoke a language I couldn´t understand, so I asked if he could speak in English and then he said in English he was from Italy?? But he didn´t say much more in English, so again I couldn´t understand a word. I said that he got the worng number and put the phone down. They tried again, but I didn´t pick up.

I was called on Friday May 4th at 8:30. A woman told me I had a computer problem, my computer would start becoming slower and slower. She war from a company XX (no idea what she said) working for windows. I told her, I do not use windows. 5 minutes later she called again, from the mac department. I asked her "what do you want from me? you want something, so tell it right now? and stop that!" she interrupted immediately. I live in Switzerland.

Seems like they have a routine running. Today (31 May 2012 - 7:30 PM) the number called our home phone. We also live in Germany, Saxony-Anhalt.

So I guess, they are processing the local phonebook.

Btw., we did not answer. Don't have a clue, who was calling.

My friend saw this number on his phone, when i called him twice.... but this is not my number...

Had that number on our missed calls list today -  3 calls one empty message on the voicebox. No idea who calls us. We are not listed in the yellow pages, so I don't know where they got our number...

got a call from this number at 11.25 sunday 22nd of july 2012 when i answered it went dead... dont know how they got it as i am ex directory.. after the call i got a text message on my mobile saying i won 500,000euro to email NL101 to claims@bbnetherlands.co.cc
