It's happened me too.
This number has called me many times friday 11/01/08 and today 14/01/08. Nobody answered to the other side.

I'm in Spain.  This number called me this evening but they hung up before I had time to answer it.

Salut; il m'est arrivé plusieurs fois de constater des appels en absence de ce numéro;un fois je dormais cela a sonné et lorsque j'ai pris, je n'avais aucune réponse de l'autre bout. Pas plus tard que cette nuit, ce numéro m'a encore appelé deux fois entre 1 et 3 heures du matin. Je voudrais bien savoir de qui ou de quoi il s'agit. MErci.

I'm from holland and for two years, daily i'm called by this number. My phonecompany can't do anything about it. I tryed by calling back to this number and also by fax, nothing helps. Only solution seems to be chanching our own phonenumber.
Can anybody else give me a good advise?

I'm from Holland too; eventhough I switched providers (public network to cable) I'm still called regularly by that number. So it definately seems it's calling my number specifically. Up until now I didn't see the number info, today it appeared on my phone for the first time. So I Googled and I came out here.... I haven't contacted my cable provider yet Margriet, but I'll try to have it blocked. My gut feeling that it's a rogue number from some VOIP PBX (telephone central), some test number or something, i.e. software defect).

I too have been receiving calls from this number and as of today can see the tel numeber. I also contacted my provider and they had told me they cannot trace it and that it is therefore probably a call centre randomly calling. But since I always get a fax-dial tone, I do not find this likely.. a marketing company would want to try and contact you, not just cal and give you 'beeps'. So does anyone know what it does?

Ivar Meijer, what does that mean: 'software detect'?? Should I change numeber, can it do any harm?

Also from Holland, and like Margriet i have this number calling me for at least two years now. Funny thing; this is the first time i actually see the number! I have almost daily a voicemail with only bleeps. Really annoying. Will contact my provider to see if they can do anything about it (which i doubt). Changed provider almost a year ago, but it still continues.

Got this number 0049055110 when my boyfriend called from Belgium (i'm from Holland) we discussed the number, he hung up, called me again and this time got his own number on my display.
Very strange!

Every day this month, I have be called, but I d'ont no who it is.

The last 1 to 2 years we've been called by this strange 'bleep'. Sometimes like 3 or 4 times a day. Very anoying. But today, for the first time, we've seen the number: 0049055110. And i see we're not the only one being called. I'm from the Netherlands.
