phone rings - complete silence for about 30 seconds then hang up?

Had one last week too from 0064684531 - exactly the same - no one there.

Had a call from this number today, they said nothing

had a call from this number today was silence until i spoke then said they were doing a survey and wanted to speak to XXX. When I said never heard of XXX they hung up

I always answer, but do not speak, when I do not recognise incoming numbers... this one shows as 64684537 on my phone... and if you don't speak, hangs up after about 10 seconds. I guess it's an autodialler system... also, I guess the tps only has 'uk orginated calls'  juristiction? I am registered, but still get plagued with cold calls.

There seem to be a block of numbers 00645xx.  When I got an answer, they claimed to be conducting an opinion poll.  One was a cultured english voice, the other from the Indian subcontinent.

These calls i believe are connected to a british company capquest, who are debt collectors, who violate privacy laws. if you receive these calls dail 1477 reporting it as malicious.
