Keep getting calls from this number and they never say anything. Driving me crazy!

I received a call from this number at 10:41 today. As I did not recognise the number, I let it go to answer machine and they hung up without speaking.

I have call guardian. caller did not announce who they were so were not put through. tried to call them back but got the standard " this number has not been recognised, please check and try again" message. Number is now added to my call guardian blocked list.

An Answering Machine is the answer to stopping these nasty people! If everyone had one, and all these people did not get an answer, they would soon give up!

Got a similar call, British Telecom claiming to be investigating a security breach on the broadband. Female voice, maybe Asian.

Got phone call, answered it he claimed to be from BT and a fault or something on the line, I said im not with BT.. He said he knew that He also claimed to be English and gave an English name but sounded very Asian

Rec'd a call from an asian bloke also claiming to be from BT claiming there were various viruses on my internet connection, and that he was calling to rectify them. Said i was busy and could i have his number and contact number and would call them back when had more time to speak. Told me his name was Alan Smith based in London but that he couldn't give his number out. I told him to do one as i didn't believe it to be genuine call and i hung up. About an hour later phone rang again and when i finally decided to answer they hung up. 1471 gave this number. Absolutely hacked off with the number of nuisance calls i'm getting, and just wish the relevant authorities/regulating bodies would pull their finger out to put a stop to such calls.

I just had call from this number. An aisan sounding male called "Frank" supposedly from BT to advise me my broadband was about to be disconnected and that he could get his engineers to rectify the viruses on my connection. Asked him how he slept at night scamming people for a living and at first he tried to deny it, then repeatedly said "[***] you, [***] you....." then hung up on me.
Have only just stopped laughing! Dont think they will be calling again.

Just had call from this number.  Asian lady calling on behalf of BT.  Told her BT do NOT provide telephone services where I live on Isle of Man.  Caller hung up.

I have had 3 calls now saying from BT re virus on my internet line when challenged they got mad and hung up. My concern is I didn't start getting these calls until I had a fault on my line and reported it a week later I started getting these stalls. Coincidence??? I think not.

BT need to get these scammers off the line here is the number , get someone to call or find out where they are based . its 2016 not 1977

Male caller with asian accent stated from BT and calling to inform me my internet connection would be down for 3 days. I stated "I don't think so!" and eded call. We don't have BT internet ;-)

Asian lady claimed to be from BT. Said there was a problem on my internet line. I asked who was the BT account holder she was looking for. She gave me an incorrect version of my partners surname and as the BT account has never been in his name I said no one was dealing with her as she had wrong BT account. She got angry and hung up

Asian guy started the usual selling "spiel"  I said " if you are relying on commission I suggest you hang up" he did after telling me to F**k Off twice. I used to have BT call barring and cancelled it , I still receive the same amount of nuisance calls at a cheaper billing charge. As someone else said 2016 BT could stop this why not ?

Asian sounding man called approx. 1.30 pm saying that he was from BT and that there had been complaints about the internet connection locally did I know anything about it. I said no and so he asked me to go online and he would "talk me through fixing the fault" which made me suspicious of his agenda and so I said that I had just been using my I pad and that it was working fine. I put phone down and came on here to check no.

I have had the same thing this morning nearly fell for it as bt are offering free virus protection.

This no rang at lunchtime today. As has happened before no response to upto three "hellos" from me then female voice (always the same one) says "Goodbye" and hangs up. With so many complaints here why hasn't the number been traced aznd put out of business long ago ?

Audrey from BT Broadband? called but when I questioned her identity, she hung up
