Whom is this number. They called and said something about "windows computer programm"

They called and asked something about my firstname.

They called me on 23.09.11 and told me that my "windows" has been infected, that i could have a software-problem and that my computer sended them an error-information... the woman who called me wanted to give me one of the "technicians" of the company, named " swappccare" from the UK and pretends to be some official microsoft-whatever... in the end, she wanted to sell me some software... very strange...

Call yesterday and today at 10.00 p.m without voice in Switzerland????

I got a call from this number telling me that my windows system reported errors and wanted to help. who r they ?

They also called me at 2.45am. Speaking a very bad English talking the same like to strangebibi. But that my affected machine where my WS Small Business Server 2011. Bad to recieve calls at that hour and y really was surprised that they know my Server operating system.
But in fact it's not so complicated to find out the owner, having a domain registration.
Because I was such surprised I did not understand much of what this man talked. He sad "Sir, are yo OK" because I was really slow (hehe always at this hour). But he seems me verry strange and so I asked if his company is certified Partner from Microsoft and he sayes yes and the same...swappcare UK. When my Computer finally was starded, Google told me, that this Phone number belongs to a owner in Mumbay India. So I asked him why hes calling me from india and then he sheems to be really surprised and I asked him a second thime if his Company really is a part of Microsoft and then it tooked him too much time to find an answer and so I told him to shut up with his cheap try of scam.

Got a call Sept 28,9.50h, asking "English?  English?" My asking for the speakers name (male voice).......dead line!

Got the same call from this number, saying the exact same thing that has been described in earlier comments here. Told him not to call again, hang up.

same shiiiit here; i spent some time with him on the phone - at first he didnt want to tell me what he wanted - he wanted just to show me error-msg - so we went for the "eveentvwr" - after that i tried to sell my some softeware or whatever - i told him that i buy a new computer now - haha - and hang up...

called us today too. :-(

Bekomme jeden Tag mindestens einen Anruf. Dank Euch nehme ich das Telefon schon gar nicht mehr ab. Vielen Dank.

Habe heute auch einen Anruf dieser Nummer erhalten. Mein Englisch ist relativ schlecht, seins war aber glaube ich auch nicht waaaahnsinnig gut. Er meinte, mein Windows sei kaputt, irgendwelche Registrierung. Und ich solle Ihm ruhig glauben, er erzähle keinen Mist. Dann habe ich Ihn gefragt, woher er meine Fest Netz Nr. hätte. Da meinte er, aus der Windows Registrierung. Ich würde niemals, bei solchen Sachen, meine richtige Nr, oder Adresse angeben.
Ich habe Ihm dann nur gesagt, ich hätte kein Problem mit meinem Windows und habe aufgelegt.
Ich hoffe, belästigt mich nicht weiter. Hat diese Woche schon mal angerufen, da war ich allerdings nicht zu Hause.
Also wer diese Nummer sieht, nicht abnehmen. Frage mich allerdings, was diese Masche soll und was das bezwecken soll. Vielleicht weis ja jemand schon mehr darüber?

La cosa più intelligente è che voleva parlare con il proprietario del mio computer. La cosa più preoccupante è che alcuni giorni fa ho ricevuto sul mio computer veramente una strana finestra cliccando su un link di una e-mail su cui c'era scritto che il mio computer è infettato e bisognava risolvere il problema. Il mio programma antivirus però non mi da alcun virus alla scansione. Mi chiedo come fanno ad avere il mio numero telefonico. L'accento in inglese del tipo era chiaramente indiano.
Gli ho detto che non avevo tempo, richiamerà domani......

Seit dem 22. September hab ich fast jeden Tag einen Anruf mit dieser Nummer. Ich hab noch nie abenommen nur mein Anrufbeantworter hat mit dem Anrufer geredet, aber niemand hat auf meine Anrufbeantworter gesprochen.

Same here, Switzerland too. I have never published my land line number or given it to anybody. So I assume they just try out all the numbers in a range.
I talked to the guys (got connected to 3 different "service technicians"!)  for a while and the last one got quite angry when I told him that I don't believe him as I'm an IT expert myself. And I asked where he's calling from. He pretended USA. But for sure it's an Indian number (and all the guys had Indian accent). He threatend me by telling me "in 2 hours you will see, your computer will be broken!". Hahaha. I just hang up the phone.

Anruf heute in der Schweiz auch erhalten (nachdem ich vorher nie zu Hause war). Es muss sich um Versuche handeln, Software zu verkaufen, nachdem sie einem zeigen wollen, dass Windows Fehler geloggt hat (was ziemlich normal ist und man auf jedem Windows PC finden kann).
Anrufer werden frech, wenn man ihnen nicht glaub und zweifelt, dass sie die Nummer von der Windows Registrierung haben. Ich habe meine Nummer nirgends angegeben. Kann sich also nur um ein Ausprobieren aller Nummern in einem bestimmten Bereich handeln. Künftig ignorieren oder Nummer sperren lassen. (Sie kommen ja offenbar nicht mal auf die Idee, die Nr. zu unterdrücken...).
