- The masked marauder18 calls today..... Hmmmm. Wonder who/what they want? Never anyone on the end of the phone, just a dead line. AN dI wasted all that time getting some good pron to play down the phone at them too!!!!! (Works a treat for Iqor.....!)
- Caller: Unknown
- Mr phoenixHave had several calls of recent from this number. As said before a blank computer generated line calling system. No doubt they will try again!!!!!!!! Sad people!
- Mr phoenix| 1 replyI was called again on this number yesterday. They claim they are a solicitor trying to claim money with the wrong facts!!!
The so called solicitor became very nasty when I tried to explain she called me a liar!!!! Not something a solicitor should do I think.
She said she wanted to collect the small amount there and then. When I told her there was nothing I could do at that very moment her comment was "Now you listen to me!!"
So I told her if she spoke to me again like that I would go there and punch her face in and slammed the phone down.
Don't give these people your bank details.- Call type: Debt collector
- ThemanwhocanRepeated calls for a debt which isnt owed, saved the number as do not answer in my phone and will be IGNORED.
Do not acknowledge these people, simply say there is no account to answer for and end the conversation.
Entering into a debate will simply make them come back for more and pester you.- Caller: Pest Debt Collection Agency

- RoscoI get phone calls form this number very rugularly! I can be called seven times a week at times and then not at all for ten days. As I missed their first call and they are chasing a (non existent) debt, they left me an answerphone message asking them to call Close Premium Finance. My opinion is, if they really want money from me, they had better come find me, or at least do more than making several easy to ignaore calls, at their cost - Idiots!
- Rosco replies to Mr phoenixI like your style! It almost makes me want to answer to them next time they call just to say the same. Problem is, they may actually tempt me to do so!
- PMCThis number called me today. A nice sounding woman woman asked for me by name, saying she was from a three letter acronym credit company - can't remember exactly...something like "MMC Credit". When I identified myself, she asked me to "Confirm my address"... The cheek of it!! I refused to tell her my address, so because she "Couldn't verify my details for (whose?) data protection", she refused to tell me who she was representing, although she did verify that she was after money from me - some form of debt.....She said that she'd write to me instead.
I am absolutely convinced that I have no debts to anyone, so just assume that this was an attempt to fraudulently take money off me. I really hate this kind of cold calling - it's really disconcerting.
I will update this post later if this call turns out to be legitimate.- Caller: Credit/Debt collection ??
- Call type: Debt collector
- PMCOK, they called again this morning and I ignored it. They left a voicemail....an automated indian female-sounding voice this time....It turns out that EUROPCAR have got this debt collection agency CCM to call me.
I HAVE NOT CALLED BACK.....but in conversation with my secretary, I have discovered that EUROPCAR have managed to screw up the way they are charging me for my business car hire usage through my corporate credit card, so rather than ring me, they have passed my personal mobile number onto this aggravating CCM agency to chase me for their error of which I could not possibly be aware! Naughty, very naughty. I WILL NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK, but will raise a customer complaint up through EUROPCAR'S complaints process.
Solved.- Caller: CCM representing EUROPCAR

- John| 1 replyClose Credit Management (CCM) Banner Jones Solicitors a subsidary of Close Brothers Bank Based in the Isle of Man.
They are a debt collection agency, and are chasing me for a motorcycle accident in 2003 that i never had and the motor insurance bereaux have paid out £21,000 as an uninsured loss... Not had an accident for 28 years, anyway told him to jog on and go to court silly little prat.- Caller: CCM
- Diamonds replies to JohnHi, we have also had contact from CCM saying we owe over £6K due to an uninsured accident in 2003 (no accident was had and we've always had insurance). They are threatening a CCJ. Not happy and totally bewildered by it all. Say's the debt was paid by the MIB and this company are acting on their behalf. Why then didn't the MIB contact us direct 7 years ago when the (supposed) accident took place?
- BillDebts are written off after 5 years anyway so do not worry! No court will let a claim be filed for debts over 5 years old.
