Rang my mothers house today asking for me by name - most disturbing. My mother said I wasn't in, and they replied that they would call back later. If I'm there and the call comes, I shall tell them I am reporting them to OFCOM.

Rung just twice, I only answered one & the cheeky sod said he was from Barclays Banking!

We don't have a Barclays Bank Account, so I smelt a rat & said No, Go Away!

Googled the number & found this site, at least I know it's a scammer!

Have had missed calls for a few weeks, but this is the first one where I've got the number back with 1471.
Have decided to remove our personal names message from our answerphone message - it just gives these b*****ds more info to use against you when they get through.
When I get crank/nuisance calls, I also ask them to hold on a while, chuck the phone in the cupboard or the fridge for half hour - they tend to hang up then !

Answered the phone and it started ringing as if I had rung them, so put the phone down

Called on 21 July 2008 a.m. and spoke to my Wife stating they were from Barclays Investments and asked for to speak to me.

I am also on TPS (which I stated) but since this is a pointless, toothless organisation don't think they were bothered. I hung up.

They called me last night. Barclays Finance. I had had an interest free loan for a new boiler. It was with Clydesdale, but it became Barclays in December (wouldn't have taken it out if I had know, I used to bank with Barclays and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now.)

They guy was phoning to tell me that they had changed their name, I knew that I had received a letter back in December. So I'm thinking, "what are you trying to sell ?" Eventually, he cut to the chase. They had a 'deal' with Talk Talk. It makes me twice as annoyed when you KNOW they are going to try and sell you something, but treat you like some sort of idiot.

This number keeps calling asking for my husband, girl said it was a courtesy call from some finance company or other, haven't taken out any finance tho' so dont know what its about, we are also on tps list and x directory - so wont be picking up in future.

Received a phone call yesterday from this number requesting to speak to my husband. Advised that he was not in and that if they were cold calling or trying to sell something, then to not bother us again. Today they phoned up..when I answered the phone, there was silence and then the phone started ringing as if I was calling them. We are also registered with TPS, These people are annoying as they always call when the baby is asleep.

Good advise from the person who posted the phone number for Roberto Milanesi. I've just phoned and been told that my telephone number will be taken off their calling list in the next 24 hours. Let's hope this works!!

Just a had a call from this number, stating they were from Barclays Finance (or something similar), and could they ask me some questions, starting with security questions, ie my postcode, thought it was suspicious and just hung up and then googled the number and found this site... we are also TPS...

also had them ring every evening for the past week saying they are from Barclays so hung up.

Keep ringing around the same time each night.Pick the phone up and it rings on the other side and a lady picks it up.Have'nt got as far as talking as they are getting on my nerves.

This number phoned last week and I said I wasn't interested. Phoned again this week - what a cheek!

We've had several "silent" calls from this number over the course of the last few weeks... obviously an automated dialling system of some description. Particularly annoying as we're registered with the TPS.

They keep ringin the house and I dive across the room , just miss the call and when I try and ring back its engaged.  These comments have been really useful as I now know its just cold calling.  We are also registered with TPS so I will tell them if I speak to them, it usually makes people hang up!

This number has been consistently phoning, almost every day for the past week. They claim to be calling from Ambrose Wilson, a company we have ordered from in the past. Sometimes it has been a different number 02072095788 or 01162356624. When you answer, it often rings as though you are the one calling, which I don't like. And it is usually a female voice of foreign origin speaking.

This number called me today at 5.30 pm. When I answered they hung up. I too am on the TPS. Do these companys not realise that they can be sued if they call a number on the TPS list >:|

Today i received a call from this number. I answered and there was just some noises in the back ground , then they hung up. Very strange as i am on TPS also.  I didn't call the number back as i was so annoyed!! I was actually waiting for a personal important call at the time.

This number just rang.  When I answered I got the tone as though I was ringing.  A woman answered.  When I said 'hello' she hung up on me.
