Claims to be from HSBC asking for postcode details.

just got a call... didn't know who it so i didn't pick it up.
glad know now!

Got a message on my mobile that the number had rung.  Tried to return the call and got a blank line.

Had this number call 3 times, rings once and return call is dead

Definitely HSBC

got a couple of missed calls. but when i try to call it back it is dead. HSBC call from a know line normally and when you ring back the message either says not to worry or it asks you to call back.

Seemed genuinely from HSBC.

I been getting regular calls from this number (every few days).  It only rings for a few seconds.

I tried calling back but it doesn't connect.

Had this call twice today, only range a couple of times by the time I got to the phone they had gone, I am a hsbc customer and always in credit so why they are calling me I have no idea

someone tried to call me on my 3G sim from this number... it wont be HSBC as they nor me know this mobile number as its only for mobile internet... and i only saw a text msg with missed call when I was disconnecting my internet on t-mobile manager...

Called me yesterday, didn't answer in time.

No answer when rung back - just beeps like it's off the hook.

aparantly, its to confirm that the line is still active and if you return the call, its confirmation that you'll accept sales calls from them in the future. Ignore ANY call you dont know, is witheld, is a freephone No (0800) or do a quick google on the number first - which is probably how you found this page !!

I've asked at my branch to stop these calls but am still getting them. Whatever they are for, it's a disgrace and I'm tempted to go to another bank. They drive me mad, plus you are charged if you call back!

I bank with HSBC so it seems that through this page that the call I received is from them.

Someone has called several times from this number, but never left a message.
