I just want to confirm who called me on this number

I received a call from this number telling me that they are a division of Nedbank and they just want to confirm details before my debit order goes off.  They said if I give them my date of birth they will tell me my ID number and that all calls are monitored.

I told him I would call my branch and discuss with them.

Is this a real thing or are they scamsters.

this number calls me constantly and as soon as i answer it cuts communication. wondering who it is.

I just spoke to Nedbank fraud help line - they confirm the following:
1.) Nedbank has your details and has no need to confirm
2.) Nedbank will never ask for your personal information over the phone unless you call to report a lost/stolen card or fraud
3.) This number is not registered in their system

I just received a call from this number as well.  I was busy and I tried calling it back. It doesn't even go thru.

Authentic nedbank credit card - they advise that you've made a payment on your credit card... weirdos  (I should know when I've made a payment on my credit card), useless service

This number belongs to NEDBANK - although the NEDBANK phishing department says so other wise - and advises you to NOT give any of your personal information to the aggressive and unfriendly staff calling you from this number - it is a NEDBANK department which chases clients who have outstanding payments - be it on your credit card, bonds etc. ... very unfriendly and rude staff calling often after hours ! Not the way one would think NEDBANK should treat their clients !
