- Peter Greetham replies to Tony| 5 repliesHi, this compnay called me many times over the last few days telling me that they can save me money on my business rates. They tell me that the cost for their service is £275 + vat but you only pay if they can reduce your rates.....sounds fair enough.....so i said ok, go for it.
They then send you an email and a link to a form to fill in, they ask you just to fill in the basics very quickly while they are on the phone as they have loads of people wanting this but no more spaces left.....(yeah right).....then comes the hit.....you have to click on ' i have read and agree to the terms and conditions' I told him on the phone i had not even seen them....he told me not to bother reading them as it just says what he has told me already, i smelled a rat by now and said hang on let me read them........It clearly states buried in the middle of the gumpf that so long as the rates office agree to review the case you have to pay the fee, and even if you do not save any money you do not get this fee back.
A con!
these guys know who I am, now I have put it in writing.....if you think I am wrong then sue me for libel.
Keep away from this company, trading standards have been informed. - Peter replies to MichaelDuncan Regent Associates ARE A CON company. www.duncanregent.co.uk NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
Ricky and his colleagues claim they are almost 99% certain they can get get a successful appeal for business rates "based on the evidence provided" but VOA have rejected my appeal based on the fact there is insufficient reason for an appeal. I have sent repeated emails to Duncan Regent Associates for misleading and false advertising but they are not returning my calls or emails. - TonyShowed by the way they talk about "customers" not “competitor " whom they had stated but change halfway down when you read on they bring a customer they know which goes back on what they said about being a competitor and they try to bring dirt up as they are bullies the customer did not like their service as you can see and they try to bully you
Would you really want a service like that?
I’m no competitor as there is no business to compete with as you can do what there offering for free without spending hundreds pounds with them by miss leading you to tick a box to tie you into paying money without your knowledge!
Thinking it was clever to con people like that, then to bully them into paying it?
I have contacted trading standards and if you’re having problems with Duncan Regent Associates
http://www.duncanregent.co.uk
You should do this as well so that trading standards have enough evidence against them
https://www.gov.uk/find-local-trading-standards-office
Not the made up competitor they state!
They are now trying to spam this review site with information you can get from local government
To deflect on the point they are guilty and even if you do have a business and that you think you
Can smooth it over with bringing dirt on that person to scare off other customers from giving bad review and you Think this is the way to do business someone need to go back and do their home work
I can’t be libel unless it’s untrue? I’m telling the truth so your scare tactics back fired
WORD OF WARNING STAY CLEAR NOTHING IS FREE AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO REVIEW THEM

I clicked the email they sent me to agree for them to do the research.

I have contacted the Valuations Office, Watchdog & Trading Standards.
The VOA say no claim has posted with them & that I should always be suspicious if asked to pay large sums of money up front, especially for something that you can actually instigate yourself.- Caller: Duncan Regent Associates Ltd

- The Company replies to Retailer| 6 repliesDear Retailer,
It would appear to “The Company” from the limited information you have provided under “your alias” (unsure why you would do this if you had nothing to hide) the only crime “The Company” may be guilty of is acting with “due diligence” in relation to your case and sending you “crystal clear” terms and conditions of business which amazingly you still seem not to have read so “The Company” is in a total quandary what this matter would have to do with any other third party?
If you are unhappy and “The Company” has not submitted a proposal to The Valuation Office as you clearly state why do you simply not cancel your contract under “The Company” terms and conditions to which “The Company” has referred in the e-mail and write today by Special Delivery rescinding the agreement (points 1 - 3 below).
For the avoidance of doubt "The Company" will advise any potential client of the following:
I can assure you that “The Company” operates with due diligence at all times to ensure that any “Potential Client” FULLY UNDERSTANDS the transparent valuable service “The Company” offers to business owners throughout the UK by operating as follows:
1) Any and all contracts are always sent by “The Company” to any “Potential Client” to read in the comfort of their own premises in their own time.
2) If a “Potential Client” decides to use the services of “The Company” and return the contract the “Potential Client” is then given time to consider the services of “The Company”
3) “The Company” then writes to the “Potential Client” by “Recorded Delivery Postage” referring “The Potential Client” to the terms and conditions to again ensure “The Potential Client” “Fully Understands” the services of “The Company” after which the “Potential Client” can rescind their contact should they so wish without any charge or commitment whatsoever.
Under the circumstances your ridiculous posting I can only assume has been written out of pure frustration at your inability to fully understand the services of “The Company” and it is clear that “The Company” would have nothing to gain by operating in the manner which you have suggested.
Important To Note:
It is any businesses legal right to challenge their business rates on their premises in any rating list period which can be “done for free” should a business wish to represent themselves, however, most sensible, successful business owners will instruct “An Agent” to represent them in such an important matter, especially when the costs of such professional representation equates to less than 11 pence per day over the entire rating period being challenged.
The Facts:
“The Company” time is best spent in helping businesses who genuinely want professional representation in challenging their business rates and I can assure you “The Company” has helped businesses throughout the UK save “Millions of Pounds” on their Business Rates. “The Company” invites any genuine client to contact “The Company” directly where “The Company” will provide direct links to The Valuation Office Agency to enable “The Normal Level Headed Business Owner” to make their own sensible conclusions on the contents of this site and the services that “The Company” can provide to UK businesses:
Complaints
Any genuine client who has any concerns about any aspect of the services “The Company” provides should write to “The Company” directly. If “The Company” does not deal with the complaint to your satisfaction you may then wish to consider complaining to Trading Standards. Making a complaint this way will not prejudice your right to take legal proceedings.
“The Company” intends to seek counsel in relation to libel for written defamation posted by “Michael”, “Lauren”, "Mupet", “Mr Patel”, “Pavlos” and "Tony" which are false and unprivileged statements of fact which is harmful to The Companies” reputation, and published “with fault” as a result of malice. “The Company” will also seek advice to use the “discovery process” to track down and find your actual identity to enable “The Company” to use your IP address to force your Internet Service Provider to turn over your account information, including your name and address. - peter greetham replies to The Company| 4 repliesSo what about me?
You have my full name, and you have my address, no need to discover ip addresses.
So why are you not intending sueing me for libel?
Might it be because my comments are 100% true......
go on, sue me too, I dare you - The Company replies to peter greetham| 1 replyFrom the limited information you have provided about yourself at 1.02am on this offshore website “The Company” hereby advises you to disclose today on this website the full name of your business along with your trading address after which, within 7 days, “The Company” will write to you directly making it crystal clear of “The Companies” intentions in relation to libel for written defamation posted by you which are false and unprivileged statements of fact which is harmful to “The Companies” reputation, and published “with fault” as a result of malice.
“The Company” would refer any “Genuine Level Headed Business Owner” to read “The Companies” previous posting dated 22nd July 2013 if they are in any way unsure of the services that “The Company” provides.
Furthermore, for the avoidance of doubt “The Company” would advise all posters on this site of the terms you are agreeing to abide by and where the responsibility lies for any posting/s made on this site:
