Called, I answered and they hung up.  Googled the number and found this.  Also called the number back and was a recorded msge, Affinion International.  Googled it and had a look at the web site.

I received a call today where the phone rang and then went dead, and later my wife answered a call where a person responded.  When I took the phone and asked who it was they said they were AFFINION INTERNATIONAL (see www.affinioninternational.com).  They appear to be a financial services company who operate credit cards / card protection / store cards etc for retail outlets, etc.  So if you have one of these cards Affinion have your details - and they may even be entitled to have them under the terms of your card agreement. But I still won't be telling them any personal information if they ring back !!!!

I received a call from this number yesterday but nobody spoke so I hung up. Why on earth do they do it?

Been calling here at lunchtime, called id showed the number.

These automated dial systems should be banned .ring you up and then hang up.  collectively nationwide they are wasting thousands and thousands of hours of peoples time, I think we all have better things to do than jumping out of the bath, missing part of a tv program, changing babies nappy etc, just to receive a nuisance call.

I have received calls from this number recently, with no one on the end of the line. Very annoying!

They said where they were from but couldn't understand them. Said something about helping with identity fruad so I said I was not interested & they hung up. I tried the number and it said I had been contacted by 'Ofinion Internation' (or something that sounded like Ofinion or Ofinian).

Phoned and asked my son if they could speak to me. i was out. i phoned them and i also got an answerphone. i thought they said 'Ofinion international'

They have been calling for a few days now.  Sounds like they are not even in an office.  Today was the first time they actually caught someone at home and I told them to call back.  When they did, my husband answered (they'd asked for him anyway) and said they were calling from Debenhams and wanted to talk about identity fraud protection.  My husband said that he couldn't guarantee who they were and unless they wanted to give him their details, he wasn't going to give his.  Surprisingly (okay not so much), they were not interested in sharing their details and hung up.

Had a call this evening, first to my landline (which I wasn't in to take but they left a message) and then to my mobile. I told them I didn't have time to talk to them and i wasn't interested in what they had to offer. They tried to offer me £40 worth of petrol vouchers to share my details with them. I don't even drive! WEIRD!

I did call back the number left on my home-phone 1471 and hear Affinion (offinion?) International mentioned. I did not leave a message on their answer machine though.

Getting thoroughly poxed off with this mob now. Had numerous calls from them but no contact at all. Dialled 1471 to get their number & called them back but all I got was the name of the company (which was muffled so I couldn't make out what it was for sure ).
These are becoming a damn nuisance & I'm sure we can all do without them ringing us up every bloody day !!!!!

Phone rang, I answered, short pause then 'They' hung up. They did not even afford the common courtesy of a bit of 'Heavy Breathing'.

My guess is that an automated dialler calls people and the numbers that are answered are passed onto sales people to call in person. This is a lot cheaper than having 'Sales Consultants' ringing homes of people that are out at business during the day.

When one of these dodgy callers ring me and ask for me by name I simply say

"Him no live here, him dead".

I got a call from this number (01214525621) and they said they from Debenhams Card and wanted to protect me against Fruad. I told them I would not be using the card again and they hung up.
Incidently, they might be genuine. Call centres often ring a qty of numbers so that when their telephonists come off a call, there is one already rang up for them to chat to. That is why sometimes the call seems to get cut off just as you answer it (because there is no avaialable telephonist there to talk to you)

Number has been calling landline at same time every day for about two weeks now but left no message.
Very, very annoying!

I just had a call from 0121 4525621.  I didnt get to the phone in time so it clicked to the ansafone, but the message was silent.  Call received at 12.25pm.
