i also received call from this number today, didnt catch which company but was asking about my computer, was ethnic caller

i just received a call from this number also claiming to be in partnership with Microsoft and helping to update the security of my computer as their are apparently viruses about that windows know about and they are not picked up by the virus scanners. I was very wary and ended the call after looking at the Microsoft website there is no such threat published and there is a section on phone hacking it is a way that they can get access to your computer by getting you to click on and run the correct programs this can be very harmful to your computer and also to your personal details such as passwords and bank details that may have been stored i would advice anyone getting a call from this number to terminate immediately. these are my own opinions and i cannot find any reason to believe that the company that called me have any connection with Microsoft. thanks

Called today. Said I had a virus that Microsft wouldn't pick up. As soon as I heard this I hung up. Have reported number to BT and also to Trading Standards, who informed me this is indeed a scam. Once in your computer they can access everything

Call today when answered left with a silent call and then phone put down.

Different number, same old scam.  This scam was highlighted on BBC1 programme "You've been Scammed"  21st November.  These people will install spyware and malware on your machine if they get remote access.  Any charges they make are just a sideline.  The Director of Security for Microsoft stated, on the same programme, that neither they nor their partners would ever ring you.  It would be a breach of their privacy rules.

I received a call today told them they were frauds and hung up.

Silent call. I know your not allowed to threaten to break someones fingers, that's illeagal. Are you allowed to think about it.

I just received a call from this number asian guy very persistant that I log on as my computer was going to crash.  I told him I didnt care if it did as I never use it, he then put the phone down

Just had a phone call of these, An Asian man calling him self James Wilson... "REALLY?!" he went on with some jibba jabba about viruses and even carried on when i said i were 13 , which i'm not.. Pretty worrying how they got my name though

Had a call from 01234 765093 and got the silent treatment but there was someone on the other end as I could hear them breathing

Just had a call about 5 mins ago. asked for me by correct name. said they needed to talk to me about my computer. I just replied don't have a computer and hang up they have not called back yet so couldn't of been that important.Don't give them any information just hang up..

Had a call from Asian lady who claimed thaere was a virus on my system.
replied really as she was so clever why not tell me the make of my system.
she was stumped and said I was a fool.
Agreed but not stupid enough to give away my info and told her to call the Devil as she would make a good bed fellow.
Call terminated just when I was beginning to enjoy myself.

Got call from Asian lady this pm and once clicked in  she said we had a virus on our PC and needed to take action with her immediatley, which I declined and asked how she knew and what was the virus and she said she could not tell us until we took action with her, in the end we hung up on them

Just had a call from this number, normally let answer phone pick up, but was actually checking messages as call came in so picked up. Lady with very strong Indian sub-continent accent insisted that I was already signed up with the company -not- and didn't like it when I asked where the company was based (Manchester City Centre) as I told her I had heard of the scam that was going on & had been in contact with the real PC Wizard company and they are not from Manchester. Just very quickly 'Googled' PC Wizard Manchester, there are some links, but so far no active sites!
