This number is used by Goldfish/Morgan Stanley credit card group - it is used when you might have missed a payment etc.

Area Code 01236 is a Shotts (Lanarkshire, Glasgow) number. If MS have a call centre in Cumbernauld or Airdrie, then this is them.

keeps calling but disconnects when i try to pick up receiver...obviously my direct debit has been returned ....again......grrrr

They sent me snotty letter saying I hadnt paid, when infact I had a confirmation d/d letter in my hands...finally got thru and turns out they had taken the payments already! and They still kjeep calling me, I am abroad so it costs a fortune to answer!

I have been a Goldfish customer for almost 10 years, and have never missed a payment. I was discussed to receive a call from this number claiming that I owed them money. The figures were totally wrong as were the dates. I'm just glad that I keep good accounts for myself and could prove them wrong even if it did meen me bein put on hold for about 10 mins

After receiving 14 silent calls from this number over 4 days on the 15th a man claiming to be from Goldfish actually spoke to me and alleged that I had missed a payment on my Goldfish card and asked if I'd like to pay by debit card immediately. On asking him for details of the missed payment he quoted an incorrect due date and amount. I said I'd check and make an online payment the next day, to which he replied he'd note that on my account. On ringing the Goldfish customer service from my statement I (eventually) got through to an advisor who said my account was in order and there was no note on the system that anybody had even called me. She said it was probably a scam. Beware and never give your debit card details to an unsolicited caller!

Been called 3 times this evening by this number - each time I answer it waits a moment and then hangs up!

I deal with Morgan Stanley, but although I missed a payment last month they've already charged me the interest on this months statement, so I can't see why they'd be trying to phone me. I'd made this months and last months payments this afternoon......

Hangs up when you answer it - hoping that you will call back no doubt

keeps calling all hours and at weekend, when you answer it just goes dead...very annoying

Morgan Stanley have confirmed that this number is genuine. If you have any doubt however, hang up the phone, and phone Morgan Stanley or Goldfish to confirm that the number is genuine.

Received a phonecall at 6.15pm asked them to call at another time they have acalled me back 5 times & no-one has spoken its a silent call each time.

Lovely people!  Just rang the number back having had 3 missed calls from them.  Told them that the guy who owned the house I now rented moved out 2 months ago and it was him they needed to speak to, that I didn't have contact details as we rent through an agent & the scottish guy that I spoke to was superbly lovely & polite and removed our telephone number from the automatic dialling system.

I have missed many calls from this number - I picked one up a while ago and they were asking for a mohammed someone or other, and then again today they rang asking for the same bloke.  They said it was Goldfish calling, who I have never had any dealings with

I am getting upto 14 calls a day from this number. There is usually no caller at the end of the phone and I have stopped answering it

Same for me.. they seem to phone my work, home and mobile in quick succession, and then the line goes dead as soon as i answer. Has been happening over the past week every day - a set of calls in the morning, then in the afternoon.

These people have called my house up to 6 times a day, asking to speak to Yusef someone or other.   I have explained twice there is no one of that name, I got the feeling they didn't believe me!  I was asked if I had recently changed my phone number, I have had the number for SEVEN years!.  If they call again I will report them to Ofcom.

Yes you've guessed it the 01236797400 is calling and leaving no message or speaking when I answer it. Does this number really belong to Goldfish?
