Telograms - a debt recovery agency. They keep phoning for my Ex-husband.

Tried always to get an address out of me, would not say what was in telegram.
Trying to find old employee.

Just received a call from 01252 576434 asking to confirm my name and address. Said they had some returned post from my address that had not been delivered and they wanted to confirm my name and address so they could deliver this post.
When asked who they were, they said they were Telogram. I have never heard of them. I told them I thought it was a scam but the guy said it was a registered company. I told him I wasnt interested and I thought it was a scam.

Don't know the origin of these calls but, if it's any help, the caller is in Aldershot (Hampshire) or Farnham (Surrey) which share the code 01252.
One strong suspect is the CapQuest Group,Fleet 27,Rye Close,Fleet,Hampshire,GU51 2QQ.

These people are a debt collecting agency.  They keep calling me claiming they have a parcel they need to deliver, and they need to confirm my address - clearly a lie!  I told them I was who they wanted, got loads of very confidential information out of them (who they were chasing and for how much money!), then they became abusive when they worked out I wasn't who they were after.

just had a call from them and they said they had a telegram for me but i have no idea how they even got my phone number? how do these people trace people because clearly they are getting details wrong from somewhere?

i got a cal from them claiming they had mail for me, and could i give them a new address. told them i thought it was a scam and hung up. googled the number and came up with this site, i then called them back and explained that if they had told me who they really were i would have been more helpful, the man named Mr Black(spooky)then said do i know how many people have hung up when they reveal that the company's name is  CapQuest Group Debt collection. I have never even been aware i owed them anything. but ill die before they get anything out of me now the lying W*****S.

Just got a call from 01252576434 asking for my wife. I asked who they were and they told me telogram and that they had urgent business mail for her. They asked me to confirm my address. I said I may if they first told me the address that they had. I cant confirm an address if they dont give it to me. They gave me the wrong address. I told them it was wrong. They asked my wife to call hem back later. No chance.

these people keep calling my office number (but i don;t answer calls unless i know for sure who it is) and i know for sure we don't owe anybody anything, so if they are a debt collection agency then they're barking up the tree...

Just had a call, again, from this number.  I'd received a call from this number but chose not to answer it before, and I just ignored it this time around.  I'm of the mind that if I don't recognise the number, I don't answer it.  If they then leave a message, I'll then decide to call them or not.

Something tells me I'm not going to call them back.

I've been thinking of getting a new number for a little while, so this might just spur me on.  I'm sick of unwanted calls.

Have had call from this number but never took the call, they then leave me a message and a reference number. I called the number back but after they had closed, their answerphone message for is for Capquest a debt collection agency.

What a bunch of fools, they try to trick people into thinking they are a mail redirection company called Telegram but yet they dont even have the brains to change their message on their answer phone!

Watch out also for 01252 576376, very similar to 01250 576434. It's also a Telogram number. They called recently looking for a tenant of ours who left five years ago. It's scary that they associated our phone number with him....

Had a visit from my neighbour today who has taken a call from 01252 576376 wanting to know if someone with my surname lives at my address (they have apparently called twice).  Did some internet research - thanks for the reports guys very useful!!! and then called them, the girl I spoke to insisted they are a mail delivery service and needed me to confirm the name and address, I asked her to confirm who they were trying to deliver to with the specified surname, both I, my ex-husband and my brother-in-law have all been 'registered' at this address, however she claimed to have two names with that surname in my home town - highly unlikely as the surname is ALBANIAN and unusual even in Albania!  I asked her to confirm the initial she refused quoting data protection - CRAP excuse!!!! She did confirm the company name was Telocom (although when pronounced it sounded like telecom) and that they were based in Fleet. I told her at this point I had done some internet research and stated they sounded like a co called cap quest or telocom, I also asked if they were a debt collection agency - she stated no!!!!

I have reported it to trading standards and I also withheld my phone number when calling the co as they claim they have been trying to contact someone here - strange no phone msgs left....

I have been tortured by this company. They tried several times using the " we have urgent important mail for you" excuse. They never gave up even after I told them Iknew who they were they denied it. What was really annoying was that they were pursuing us incorrectly. They even tried to get info from our children. Watch out.

Just got a call from that number, 01252576434. Interestingly enough they did the mail re-direct thing, but they were actually looking for someone at a different address, with a different name. Nice enough, they apologised and said the number would be removed. Note: I work for a telecoms company, and the 01252576434 number cannot be found in our systems, but CapQuest can, under another 08700 number.

I have also just been contacted by these people today ,luckly they havnt got my  phone number BUT they do have my address`DAM`..having  read all of these letters on here.. its really shocking that these people can get away with it,i`m going to send all their letters back they can get stuffed... they dont scare me.... so please beware

the people on this telogram scammer are hounding my 80 year old dad and 76 year old mam. the sent a letter to a
Mrs * and our surname .mother phoned them she was ha-rest for her date of birth her addresses she lived at 9 years ago. I told them to go to the bank in case mother had given details over the phone .she had dent .i got the letter of them and i phoned them my wife spoke to some one saying she was the person named in the address as the address only had a a to z letter in the address (like Mrs a/b/g/t/d/f/r/) she said i am Mrs (whatever) they said we have been looking for you as you had a debt to little woods over 8/9 years ago ,the refused to give details and refused to send proof of the debt also have repeatedly phoned and phoned now ,I have told my parents to go to the police .

latest on the money telogram say  my 80 year old dad and 76 year old mam owed is now after 14 phone calls to them (from 8.30am till 10.30pm )and three letters later on this day they now have two unpaid debts to the grand total of £475.60 the first letter /phone call was for £70 .AS THE DAYS GO ON THE TOTAL IS RISING FAST .
right now i am having to keep the both of them calm ,i phoned the company (1.50 a min) and asked if they could
1 give me there bank details so we could pay into there account .no you pay us by check ,that way i think they then get all the account details.
2 can i have proof of this debt things like order form /signed receipts/signatures of any of my parents receiving this cash /or order.
3 the mans name as a reference to who i am talking to and for my record.

2 we don't have to send any proof of delivery or a signature to you due to the freedom of information act  
3 my name is not an issue here ,and under the freedom of (yea yea i heard this before) i will keep you posted .

Update !!! after sending my prove it letter ... had a letter this morning offering me a 75% discount off my debt...i really dont think they can prove it ..unfortunatly  what they are doing in this country is legal...i did owe the debt well over ten years ago and i know that it will be statute barred,...but i really dont want to risk a bad credit score again :-( confused!!!

up date tradings standards told mam //dad to log all calls and times of calls .
the calls now say total £654 and rising .
solicators meeting with mam dad this week .thay now knoe this is a scamm time limit on any debts 6 years,harrasment on the phone . no proof yet of the items
