I got an unsolicited missed call, so I called back.

The lady on the end of the phone said 'hello, you're through to Roxy, how can I help' and I said 'I don't know, you've just called me and I'm calling you back'.

The line went dead immediately.

Just had a call from these, rang back and heard something about payment protection refund, I asked her what company and she hung up.
I rang back and a man answered, I explained the call and he said something about refund for payment protection but no real details, I'd clicked by then so said "Ah so you're a scamming company" he just laughed and put the phone down.

Had a call from these guys, but I never answer to unknown numbers thankfully.

If you look on companieshouse.gov.uk "Greenacre Equities Ltd" is an existing company, but I notice that they're overdue on their last return as of 21st Nov, which strangely seems to be just before we all started receiving the dodgy phone calls.  OH reckons that perhaps the real Greenacres have just gone bust, hence the overdue return, and that these scammers are pretending to be them to have a 'legit' cover to scam under.

I for one defo won't be answering to them if they ring back!

Just had a call from "Greenacres".  Very convincing, very friendly.  They said I was due some refund on a PPI.  They said they would send out some paperwork to me which would detail which card it was for or whether it was mortgage, ironically they told me they couldn't give any further details owing to data protection!!  They asked for my bank details, but I refused. So glad I had my wits about me!!

Just had a missed call from this number, with so many presents on order via mail order wasn't sure if i'd missed a genuine call, but thanks to you guys, I now know it's yet another number to not bother answering!

I just had a call from this number, they didnt leave a message so i googled it and i've found all these comments..Doddgy buggers!!!

What I like to know is where the hell do they get the numbers from?

Received call at 12pm today whilst in the middle of work.  I can't belive i fell for it. I'm the one usually warning people about scum bags like them.  Lady called Hazel, extremely friendly spoke with me.  She knew where i lived, what bank i was with.  Stupidly i gave my details and she informed me that someone from the Legal Department will call me today informing me of how much i would be entitled to and that i will receive my money in 30 days time.  

Now I've had to cancel my card and won't be getting my cash card until next year.  What Scum.  Really caught me off guard.  I will be informing Companies house of this, just in case these A Holes are using a genuine company's name.

They are scummers.. on my position they took my money... as they introduced themselves  like a bank. working with green acres equities.. to those who have not recieved a call from them be carefully.....59.99 gone in 5 mins

1st Time got done, working in a very busy strefull environment, I stupidly gave my details, realising afterwards what I had done.  I agree these people need to be taken down, they are scum of the earth, worse than dog poo, and i would pee on them if they were on fire.

I'm so angry at my self....That ''company'' call me 2 weeks ago...I gave to them my details,and they took from my account £59.99,send me some stupid pages about PPI,and invoice...heh..
I send back letter that I want my money back,but reading that webside I'm shure that I dont have chance.....(f....ck...)

Last week my boyfriend got the same call, but they called from a mobile and he was convinced to give his details over to the "bank" (scammers)thinking he would have £60 returned to him from paying over on a protection plan.
When we got the letter we tried the number again..again and again! Just could not get through. Also the mobile number they phoned from was not to be found on the call history! He has cancelled his card but nothing else can be done.
THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!

got conned by these people myself feb 11th  very proffesional at talking people ino handing over card details realised straight away and cancelled my card but too late the bank says they took out 3 lots of money for some useless papers that i could have printed myself spoke to them again yesterday and they promised to ring me back   err no call and no suprise     Two words   CONN ARTISTS
