- Paul| 2 repliesCalled me today 21st Feb 2010 trying to sell advertising space on the tv's in a local Post Office. Not a particularly pestering call, but defeinitely sales!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SarahJaynie replies to PaulAvoid this number it is SALES! I've just receved a call from an incredibly rude man who wouldn't accept a polite but firm "no" I had to just hang up in the end.
- Ken| 3 repliesI use this site a lot to identify pesky spam callers and thought i'd type in this number just out of curiosity as it is the company I work as a graphic designer for.
I have now been working here seven years.
I'm not giving a sales pitch or anything like that, I'm just clearing up any qualms about us being a scam company.
We have thousands of satisfied cutomers worldwide and I put my heart and soul into my job (to the point where i give my mobile number to customers and work free from home to make sure they get what they pay for.
I'm sorry Sarah Jaynie you had a rude call. Hopefully that person is no longer with us. We do sales calls, but do not harass or pester and our callers are routinely checked to make sure they have correct etiquette.
Sorry for the long speech it's only because I'm proud of the work we do and the fact we're not just another fly-by-night advertising company. :)

- Anony| 2 repliesThat's nice of you Ken. I just had a call from this number, the man was very abrupt "I want to speak to the owner please" to which I advised he isn't here until this afternoon. The man pretty much hung up with a bone-idle attempt at a "thank you, I'll call back later, bye".
We have actually just signed up to CNetwork for some advertising in Post Offices. Surely this caller should have known who we were and should have identified himself, then I could have helped him. - brian Lee| 1 replybeware of this number //
do not sign any thing until they provide you with a letter of offer.
do not sign the contract as it is in a very small print.
I took the call and end up signing with them, the sales people called himself Danny Morley 085 7636962, told me that the contract is for 3 years, i told him that i am willing to try it if he let me do 2 years, Danny agreed to the 2 years and he is so helpful that he crossed the " number 9 terms & condition" which say rolling over for 3rd year for me, BEWARE as the crossed is only appeared on my copy. ( Danny crossed my Copy only not the office copy)
so every thing went well until you realized that they start billing you and told you the balance.I rang the office they told me that my contract has been roll over for 3 years and they have not received any notification during the first 12 months.
The point now is not the roll over but is the agreement i have with Danny Morley who represent the company Cnetwork.tv , What a nasty way of doing business, We gave they the business and now they
want more by taking advantages.
what is the value a year of advertisement fee charging me,
compare to,..... me telling every one now that do not trust this company.- Caller: cnetwork.tv
- Brian replies to Anony| 1 replybeware, do you know about the roll over deal ?
- Neowalker replies to BrianThis company has a bad way of doing business... they lie and tell you they are from the post office and the contracts are water tight... I got sucked into this too and they threaten bayliffs as I cancelled the direct debit... a Scottish guy is very rude too.
- Steve GingorsbieBe very careful before signing a cnetwork contract aka Multimedia International Services.
The contracts are rolling so they are not for one, two or three years – this is how they make their money – every year money will leave your account until you give them a full 12 months notice to cancel.
I am really surprised they are not list on blagger.com as they are as dodgy as they come, read your contract and weep....- Caller: www.cnetwork.tv

- Disgruntled| 5 repliesI was contacted by cold call. A very nice gentleman visited me and I signed up. I was told that70% of those taking ads continued with their service. I was also told 6,000 people visited my PO every week. I was also told that after the initial deposit I would start paying six months later.
My ad actually went out some three months later but I have had a call already for the next payment. I was not told about the rolling contract nor was I told about signing on for two years which in effect is three years if you don't read the contract carefully and go by what the rep tells you.
Have I had any response to the ad after six months and some 72,000 visiting my local PO? No. Nothing. I have spoken to one advertiser directly and another indirectly. The same thing - no response. I was sold this advertising as a sure thing. I will be going to Consumer Direct to see if there is a way out of this as to be frank whilst the graphics are good, I am not happy with the way the contract was sold to me nor am I happy with being locked in for three years if I cannot terminate my contract or forget to cancel early enough.
The gentleman that wrote from the company, I am sure that you are a nice guy and go through things properly. Unfortunately from what has been written here it does not appear that your colleagues do the same. No one in their right mind signs up to a contract for advertising, which is not cheap, for three years. I most certainly would not have taken this service on had I been told the truth. I will be talking to Consumer Direct who will obviously be passing this on the local Trading Standards in relevant geographic location.- Caller: Cnetwork.

- Andrew| 2 repliesYes we were stung by the roll over clause as well. Our fault for not combing through the fine print. But sales rep gave the impression that it was "only" a 2 year contract.
- JJMcJJHad these jerkasses ring our reception about 5 times today for different clients in our building, once I knew who it was after the first call I was then able to just hang up

- Very upset customer absoultely| 3 repliesAbsolute shambles of a company people that work for them should be ashamed its daylight robbery. They tie you into a contract and then sign you up for a third year before you even know it. A disgusting way of doing business and I'm sure that after reading comments on the web it only emphasises this. Rude unhelpful and damn right con do not deal with these people they will in one way or the other con you. And I Will make it my job to litter there name and make sure everyone knows how they operate.

- ken from cnetwork says 'we no scammers' replies to Ken| 1 replydude, why are defending your companys position as scammers, when no-one prior to your post mentioned 'scamming' ..... wreaks of a really, really guilty conscious ?
i like the term "unconscionable", which takes into account business conduct such as:
- the bargaining power of the weaker party - eg., does it exist?
- imposing unnecessarily unreasonable conditions - eg., how much notice of contract termination is required ?
- foot-in-the-door marketing eg., does a company misrepresent who they are, so they can get a representative in your front door, to make a sales pitch to you
- using unfair tactics or sales pressure - eg., making false statements to allay fears of aggressive contract terms
- whether adequate disclosure was made to the weaker party eg., that 10%, not 90% of consumers have a positive outcome, that is value for money
- acting on good faith eg., changing terms and conditions, upon the realisation that the majority of consumers are being caught in a rollover clause ? yes or no ?
- whether a contract is a two-way street, or favors the stronger party unreasonably eg., does the contract use words or terms like "in our absolute discretion, WE may change, delete, restrict, relocate, rescind, withhold or dissolve...... but, you can't do any of those things" - cnetwork a scam or scammers ? ask ken replies to Very upset customer absoultelyit's interesting that ken brings up the word scam and cnetwork and that multimedia international services are mentioned in this thread ...... is there a connection
however,
i once saw a contract that said that you are not *supposed* to "discuss, broadcast, divulge, share, announce or report any details of the contract ..... before, during, or after the contract has runs it's course ..... however long that may end up being."
i'm not sure that sounds too trustworthy - Brian| 1 replyI just had a call from community network offering 1 year or 2 year contracts from £10 per week for 10s slots, 300 ads per week, up to 4 changes in ad per year is included in the cost.
I understand the dubious nature of the contracts, but does anyone who uses them have any evidence that the Post Office advertising actually works?- Caller: Community Network

- warning, warning ... red flag ! replies to BrianRED FLAG #1
I have spoken to 5 of 11 advertisers who were advertising at the same location as my business. They have had minimal success - 2 of them gained "1-2 new customers"; 1 is a florist and the other a car sound technician ... these are business people who have systems in place to find out where their business is coming from, and it wasn't coming from those ads.
RED FLAG #2
The florist complained within the first month that the ads were not performing any near what had been "guaranteed" by the salesman (buyer beware and all that, but, you do rely on the word of a company representative to provide some fact in their answers - eg., you assume that your local mechanic does actually change your oil and oil filter, don't you? - but, do they ? - do you check every time ?).
RED FLAG #3
The florist above wanted to speak to the salesman who had clearly lied to her. He was "unavailable" and never returned her calls.
RED FLAG #4
She had signed for 12 months. But, get this, even after 1 month of trying the system, she had already been rolled over to another 1 year, because she hadn't given them "1 year notice of intent to discontinue using the service".
RED FLAG #5
For the record, I am in breach of the terms of my contract for discussing this. The florist and the car sound technician were in breach of their contracts for talking to me about it too. People contracted to cnetwork services are not to discuss the terms of the contract with anyone.
Ha, for a laugh. Ask them to send the contract to you for review. I will guarantee you "no way".
