- Also Pestered by AIMS Legal replies to john| 7 repliesThe company is called AIMS Legal and is also known as AIMS Reclaim and AIMS Financial.
This is their address: 7, Trident Park, Trident Way, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 3NU.
Tel: 07677 448277 or 01254 454012 or 01254 297161.
They are one of those spammer companies who will offer to reclaim your PPI for a large fee (when you can do it yourself for free).
You can stop the calls by complaining to the Telephone Preference Service by filling in a very short form here: http://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/
Please do complain - the more complaints, the bigger the fine for their disgraceful pestering of people.
Here are names of some of their directors. You can contact these directors via the LinkedIn professional networking site (see links to their profiles below) to complain about their activities.:
Thomas Peter Edwardson (also known as Tom Edwardson) who appears to be the owner: www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Thomas/Edwardson
Adam Bennett www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Adam/Bennett - claire replies to Also Pestered by AIMS Legal| 2 repliesMy gran, aged 80, has just been scammed from these idiots. They told her to pay a fee of £250 which she did and she was entitled to £6000 ppi back. This was a woman called Victoria Benjamin who called from this number. She payed by her credit card luckely and once i looked on the net about it i spotted this page about the phone number. Card has now been cancelled so them horrible scamming people can not take any more money from her. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give them your bank or credit card details. THEY ARE FAKE!!!!

- tigz| 2 repliesthey've scammed one of my elderly relatives out of money by saying give us your credit card number so we can check if you may be entitled to money from PPI. They didn't tell him they were taking any money, he had a moment of lucidity a day later and cancelled his credit card but they'd taken £125 straight away, then they send you a 'membership' card saying actually you've agreed to join a " club" called 'SIMPLY AIMS' where they offer you exclusive deals ( all free on voucher codes websites) and when you speak to them on the phone they refuse to refund any money , and refuse to accept that the original phone call was simply about ppi and nothing to do with joining a money saving club. Absolute scam and i'm livid they get away with this particularly with elderly people who aren't sure what they are doing. 'WHICH' magazine now list AIMS as one of half a dozen companies scamming money using the PPI claim back loophole, which of course is free to do. They keep calling harrassing for more money.

- Jacqui replies to Also Pestered by AIMS LegalThank you for this info, the problem is I am already registered with TPS and I still get phonecalls, one of them was 7am in the morning..........! I don't even have any PPI that I could claim back, this is harrassment...I intend to report this to trading standards, I am really fed up of this intrusion of my life.
- Chadders| 4 repliesThanks for this info, i took a call from a Louise Fitzmaurice on 20/7/12 from this exact number. I usually put the phone down on PPI calls but thought id see one through to see what all the 5pm harassment phone calls were about. Louise said I would be owed about six grand after id told her about cards/loans/mortgage. I asked her to send some documents for me to peruse before I agreed to anything. She then asked for the 250 quid over the phone, which must be sent for 'membership' (including free 'will writing'). I said I wasnt prepared to give those details. She was quite insistent that I gave them prior to any further progress being made. I again refused. She said AIMS REVIEW was a ligitimate company with a reference number of CRM 26650. I havent given any of my card details over. You dont get owt for nowt. Im glad I looked this up as it appears to be a dishonest scam. These firms need prosecuting. I can see how a vulnerable person could give their details and get scammed for a lot of hard earned cash. This is intolerable.

- Anne replies to ChaddersJust taken a call from AIMS REVIEW......wanted £200 to be paid by visa which I didn't do as I also thought why don't they take it put of their share! Rosemary the lady who called me said I was elegible for up to £12k. Thankfully I investigated further and read all your advice, thank god I did I don't have £200 to waste.
Kind regards - SLB Somerset replies to ChaddersJust done exactly same - exasparated by phone calls so followed up to see what was actually going on. £2,400 seems standard "offer" on PPI reclaim. I was actually wished "good luck" whilst they put me on hold to see how much I could reclaim! Have given no card details despite pushy salesperson. They are due to call back later today and I am so looking forward to THAT conversation! Martin Lewis's financial website has DIY step by step guides for PPI reclaims - suggest everyone looks at it.
- SueWeve had a chap phone from this number on several occasions, firstly spoke to my husband who thought it sounded too good to be true but asked for paperwork before giving his card number, I have previously worked in the financial services industry and when I got him on the phone he tried to make out he could save me money on ppi even though I knew for a fact we had never taken insurance. Although he sounded very convincing, I am so pleased I have found this website!! Thank you for saving us £250!!!!
