Kate left a message on my answering machine to call her back on 012546639.. xt 4094017. I have had other calls before from similar numbers and they appear to be trying to confirm who my neighbour is. I ignore all such calls but it is worth putting the number into a search engine to at least check on previous experiences.

Note through the door from a neighbour yesterday, to contact Michelle Morris "an old friend" urgently, 01254 663900. My wife rang them before I got back from work anbd they claimed it was a mistake, they were looking for someone of the same name in Barnsley! (Which hardly washes as they obviously knew the neighbours address in Bradford). Like posters above, have no debts and never had. So I suspect they are fishing for a previous occupant of this house.

Received a telephone call from a female operator who initially asked for a Mr. WHITE then got my name right. I asked who it was and she said, "I'm not selling anything." I said "Goodbye" and hung up. She called back immediately and started berating me for being so rude! She then hung up before I could. Unbelievable! 1471 revealed 01254 844088. When I called that, it was an answering machine stating "This number does not accept incoming calls".

Got a letter from J2 Solutions this morning addressed to 'the occupier' opened it and had my name inside it saying they were trying to contact me about a personal matter? decided to google the company and couldn't find anything positive about them. Like mentioned above the letter is not very profesional. its just cheap paper. the letter head is just poor quality printing not the sort you get from other dept collection agencies. seems very strange. I do have dept but will not be contacting this company about it. Their address if anybody wants it is:

My advice - as I've had the same message left on my answer machine and have no bad debt - is not to engage with them in any way. General advice is never to own up to any debt to anyone over the phone on incoming calls. More important, never give any personal details to an incoming caller no matter how innocuous (or 'official') the reason they give for calling. If you give such information it's no different than having someone root through your bin trying to find your personal information. The world is full of crooked scam-mongers. Finally beware as you can become liable to any statute barred debt (debt not paid for over 6 years) you may have simply by admitting you owe it.

He told me he had checked online and the company look dodgy. Surely there has to be some law against them ringing neighbours and getting them to drop off notes. Why can they not simply write to me directly?

got a handwritten note put in my letterbox askin me to call this number they got my first name right on the note called the number to find out it was j2solutions never heard of em before decided to google it glad i did

omg i cant believe it i got home to find someone had called but they put the note through my neighbours door who lives below me but it had my address on it and my name and a message saying call michelle morris on this number its personal so i said to my sister about it and she goggled the number and i cant believe its a debt agency i onlt been back in the country for 5months.this csnt be legal surly and i wont be calling them as i know i got no debts.

They have had a chick to ring my neighbours - because they could not find my number (ex-directory). Nicely asked them to ask me to ring them back. Why should I? they have business to me not Vice Versa! Be warne everyone!!!

Just to follow up on the above message I do not have any debts or personal matters, and any loans and mortgages would of shown and these people don't even know my name just trying to get a quick buck on snooping on innocent people

a neighbour came round with a hand written note asking me to phone th above number and ask for hayley scott. i have had debt in the past and thought it might be something to do with that

My husband has had 2 letters regarding a debt from Virgin Active which has been settled recently. They have now phoned our neighbour with a message for my husband to call Ryan Ford on 01254 663 900 - which is obviously J2 Solutions. We will ignore them and if we get any more correspondence will be reporting them to Trading Standards. They claim to be calling regarding a personal matter - obviously a scam of some sort!

Contacted my neighbour and asked about us. Said it was urgent and asked us to ring Michelle Morris on 01254 663900, ex 1262892. Said it was urgent and needed to get hold of us. Obviously didn't ring it, looked it up and found info on a few websites including consumeractionforum and moneysavingexpert. We have no debts that arn't being paid for. From what i've read online, these are a horrible company, using underhanded methods. Have no intention of contacting them. If they want me, they will contact me at my address, not my  neighbours.
