I have received phone calls from this number and when I answer they hang up.  So I decided not to answer my phone and when it goes straight to answer phone they leave a message for a couple of minutes not saying anything.  When you call this number back it is unobtainable.

It's a company called Whiteword Enterprises Ltd based in Pitsea, Essex. They usually get your details by approaching you on the street and asking you to take part in a "UK Lifestyle Survey" to enter a prize draw. In my case I was caught at a Sainsbury's car park while I was loading my car. They just asked me some innocent questions about my holiday preferences and all they wanted was my phone number in case I won a prize. I gave them my work phone number without thinking much about it. After a month I started getting calls two-three times a day, every day, and it went on for three months!!! I never answered because I knew from other Internet forums that they wanted to offer me some holiday packages.
If you do the survey they give you a paper slip saying (in tiny print) that they may contact you by post or phone. If you want them to stop you have to write to them and give them a return address!

This is a company called Club la Costa. They phoned me early December, even though I am on TPS, and asked a basic holiday questionnaire. I was caught off guard as I usually would not speak to unsolicited callers but they did not ask for any personal details so I answered the questions. Last week I got a call to say I had won a holiday and had to call 0800 988 9904 to claim my prize. I obviously didn't and now they keep ringing asking why I have not phoned the 0800 number. They do not seem to understand 'I am not interested'. Have complained to TPS but from reading other forums CLC do not care whether you are on TPS or not!

I just had a call from 01268 557600, she said that I had filled in a questionaire in the local town centre on 8th December. I told her that she was incorrect as I was at the hospital all weekend (I can hardly forget the birth of my second child can I), the lady was persistant so I told her that if she could give me somemore details I would gladly report the call as someone is falsifying my name. She hung up at that point. I did a search on google and it brought me here.
The thing that started alarm bells is: No.1 I never fill in questionaires unless they are work related. 2. I never even stop for “canvasers” ever, this is the easiest way for identity theft.
These companies need to be closed down, its harrasement which could easily turn into identity theft, I saw a similar thread pointing to these companies selling failed phone numbers to marketing databases in Nigeria.

Had a missed call and just googled it to find your site detailing that these people will be a nuisance.  Will ignore any future call and suggest anyone else dose too.  Well done to this site.

I had a call from this compnay today to say that i had won a holiday after completing a questionnaire in my local town centre at the begining of January.

As soon as i heard that i just put the phone down on her. They have tried to call me back 3 more times today whilst i am at work.

The best thing to do is ignore the calls, they willl get tired eventually.

lololol….. I waited for this number to call me again, after 4 unsuccessful attempts, as I wanted to play with her. I let the lady tell me all about it. I pretended to sound really interested. she told me I had entered a local questionnaire (which I remember I did-silly me) and because I matched the criteria for the holiday I had (magically) won a free holiday in spain portugal or tenerife. I then went on to ask her lots of questions about what type of accommodation it was, hotel ,apartments, caravan.: whether it had a swimming pool, whether it had a sony xbox 360 included in apartments and sky tv. she said she wasn’t sure and was eager to try to give me the number as she was in the claims depmt and they could tell me more……but I wanted to know more..lol. I asked if it flew from my local airport and whether travel insurance was included. all the time she was trying to get me away from this and onto the number. after some more questions from me about whether transfers from the airport to the aptmnts were included, she then told me I could go to france as well. lol firstly there were 3 destinations then four. I asked if she knew what she was doing and she just shrugged it off saying new deals always appear. she then told me of some high st vouchers I could claim. she rattled off some names and I rattled some off too asking why certain vendors were not included. she then gave me the phone number and told me to ring it. I thanked her and said I knew it was a timeshare scam as I found this very number on (this and other) websites and thanked her for wasting her time & money on calling me twice (as the line dropped once) and……well she put the phone down on me….it was fun while it lasted…lolol
