Another nuisance 01274 call.

Rang for a few secs, didn't get to answer it.

Another nuisance caller, this time from 01274 663293.

Already registered with TPS but these calls keep coming.

Best practice ask where they got your number and most just hang up.

I'm getting calls from this number,when I pick up I just get the dialling code noise. Getting pretty fed up with it now, it happens nigh on very day. Makes me wonder if it's somone who has our address and phone number from a courier service we've used and the person may be seeing who's in at what time of the day, you just can't be too careful, yes paranoia does niggle in. I am SURPOSED to be on BT call preference list but I still get unwanted unsolicited calls.

Just had a call from these people. They say they are a company called "redress" and they wanted to inform me about changes in the finace law in relation to Payment protection insurance. I let him waffel for 2 mins then asked where he got my details from. They were obtained from a company called PPI Advice line (0800 292 2233). I have rung them and they get there details from a company called Unique Prospects (0845 459 0253). I have sent them a snotty e-mail asking them to remove me from their database. Lets see what happens.

Had three calls yesterday from this number - picked up quickly and line is dead..
Just had another call this morning. If you try the number there is no connection, presumably only used for outgoing calls.....

I have the same as u. 3 time so far I have tried to get to the phone. Each time it goes off after 3 rings & when I called it back said not in service or something. Driving me mad !

I have had several of these calls in the last few weeks, 2 being today. They stop after 3 rings or if I do answer, the line cuts off. They are a pain. If you are with TPS like me, report it to them, they will send you a complaints form to fill in and will take it further for you. If we all do it, the might leave us all alone!

me too. Getting these regularly at the mo and sick of it. We are on a preference list aswell. Why aren'tthese damn things working

Just missed them. Interestingly, I see the poster on 21st April states this company 'Redress' - probably Redress Claims, said it got their details from a company called PPI Advice Line. I was phoned by them just a few days ago and they are supposedly sending me an application pack to apply for compensation. This leaves me wondering why they would give out their potential client details to another company. I wonder if they're all the same company. I've searched the web for the PPI Advice line with the same number they gave me and I can't find it. For anyone else wanting their name removing from databases try emailing:

i am sick to the back teeth of answering the phone only to find this no. upon dialing 1471 after no one is there.i am a pensioner .how do i get this stopped?

To all concerned.

I am one of the owners of Unique Prospects and i am very sorry for the calls that you have been receiving.

We are as upset by this as you as we have got nothing to do with the calls that you are getting.

We have supplied data to Redress claims in the past and it would appear that they have neglected to TPS or verify the data since it was originally supplied back in October 2010.

This has only just come to our attention and we are doing everything possible to stop the calls that you have been receiving.

We are also seeking legal advice regarding the obvious mis-use of the data that we previously supplied by Redress claims.

Once again i sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused and we will take all steps necessary to ensure that this is stopped immediately.

I would like to make it clear as Mark has confirmed that we have not bought nor used data supplied by Unique Prospects since November 2010. We use a number of data suppliers and as confirmed by Mark we have not bought data from Unique Prospects this year.
