caller rings asking for information on neighbours despite being asked not to.

rang neighbours rang wescot direct on 0844241155 and they claim its there tracing taem to have this stopped speak to there managers and they will stop this happening but u need to help them to help yourself

These parasites have just rang and asked about my next door neighbour.
They shouldn`t go ringing people up who have no connection to the people they are after,also how embarrasing would it be if my neighbour knew that she is being chased by a debt collecting `service`!

I think they phones once and asked about a business I'd never heard of. Now I get 2 or three calls a day with silence.

He called asking for information on my neighbour!!!

Called me asking "is this <my address>?" - I refused to answer, and asked instead who was calling.  The lady said "I am from Westcot Services. Do you know if Miss Mulgavie still stays at number 86?"

I said no, and she hurriedly said "sorry to bother you", and hung up.

It's a Hull Number

bothered by wescotts, asking for a man ive never heard of... has been going on a year at least. they seem to have a year old bill for my address... ive been here 7yrs... never heard of the man in question!.

if you call the number back, its an answer service, the trace team number written above in another entry doesnt work for me.. number not recognised... got 0141 300 5300 from 118 118, this appears to be the office direct if anyone needs to call to complain.

just called number above to ask to be removed from call center data... a lady called becky said she couldnt guarantee when this would be, i asked to speak to a supervisor... not one available but did get the name 'emma' (no surname.. wouldnt give me one, apparently not company policy) extention 30192/supervisor, ... just in case anyone wants to complain!. xxx

Had calls all hours from 01482483251 so the rang Wescot direct on 0844241155. They said they have no knowledge of any calls. Asked who I was, said to them you should know if your calling me. They hung up.

Called my next door neighbour and asked for details on me.  Absolute parasites.  Luckily they never gave any details.

4 times in 3 weeks they have called, asking about a neighbour- each time i've said. Its nothing to do with me, where have you got my phone number from, and don't phone me again.(can we sue them for mentel crulety???)

Westcot are scum! They are NOT ALLOWED to call people to pursue a debt owed by a neighbour. If you get calls like this you can report them to the Financial Ombudsman Service as this is HARASSMENT and not a general enquiry. If you personally are getting calls and letters from Wescot and need advice on how to deal with these bullies contact your local CAB office or you can go to

this company is calling one of my neighbours for a debt that my brother owes!!! I will be calling them tomorrow and giving it them!

They called me this morning at 8.30. We are waiting for some test results for my wife and the worst entered both our heads when the phone rang that early.
Turns out they were looking for someone 3 doors away. I had no information to give them because I don't know that neighbour so they hung up without telling me who they were.

Scum! Rude arrogant scum. How are this lot allowed to be in business!! Harrasing people, how dare they.

Dawn.  Yes, there's the Office of Fair Trading, local Trading Standards, the Financial Ombudsman Service.  They're all pretty ineffectual with singular complaints, but if the complaints mount up, there's a chance that something may be done.
