"I didn't envisage spending my retirement answering the phone to companies like these. Pension spending has now included a new phone with caller display, a monthly subscription to my service provider to activate same and a call blocker. Guess what - they've worked out how to display a different number from the one they're actually calling from! Check 1471 & don't just rely on caller display. Caller display showed 0151800017 while 1471 gave 01159081162.
I now also use answering machine to monitor all calls and have been on TPS for years. Does anyone have a solution or do I have to get rid of the phone altogether?"
