My elderly neighbour took a phone call from a company calling themselves mailsafe... Who i now believe to be clear associates! They knew his full name,, full address etc and they interrogated him about us asking him to confirm our names and  if we are his neighbour next door... Totally disgusting behaviour. We have reported this company  to office of fair trading to see where this takes us.  We have no clue who this company are and do not know what they want. One thing for sure we will not be ringing them back and if they want to discuss anything with  us then they can put it in writing... They need to be told that their practices are underhanded and anyone who has dealings with this scum needs to remind them that they are breaching laws under the data protection! Do not give them any information about yourself or your neighbours... If they know who u are then they should have this info in the first instance.... Send them on their way by telling them to put their comments in writing, then put the fone down! Also if ppl persistently get telephone calls by these ppl jst block them by using 1458 on BT there us a small charge for this, bt it'll be worth it.  If like us you only had a telephone number to trace this company just pop the number in search engine, u'll be surprised how many ppl have been through the same, hope this helps.  Their number s 01536276453

Criminal outfit claiming to be a mailing company (Mailsafe) In actual fact they are nothing more than a powerless uneducated tin pot debt collector, with absolutely NO LEGAL powers to do anything, they will breach the OFT debt collection guidelines and they can be ignored, they have zero powers to do anything, if they ever ring me I;ll be taking them to court.

Received a letter from Empingham Ltd which I returned marked as unwanted junk mail without a stamp on it so it cost them £1-50 to receive their own letter back.  Just had a call from a goon claiming to be from Mailsafe to confirm my name and address   I told him I wasn't obliged to answer any questions so they are passing it to their investigations dept... Doubt if they even have one.

If you ever get any calls from these or any other parasites, remember you are NOT obliged to answer ANY of their questions, specifically your name and address.  Remind them of this constantly, and ask if the call is being recorded.  If it is then tell them you do not consent to this, if it isn't tell them you will record it.  Either way you can get rid of them quickly.   Total scumbags and remember they can only use any information you give them, give them nothing and they have nothing.

I'm on the TPS but still had a call from this number asking about my address and weather my next door neighbour still lived there

TPS can help with sales calls.      They cannot help with Debt Collectors.   In this country we do not have the equivalent of a Do Not Call List.        Complain to your MP about nuisance calls.
