Just had a call from this number wanting to speak to me or a family member. No indication. Of what they want and when I tried to ring back number not recognised. Any ideas?

Yes they phoned yesterday, no message left after I picked up and phone went dead. most fecking annoying.

a number of calls now, some going dead, some with ignorant [***] at the other end and I've also been hung up on before I've finished asking who they are.

Just had a phone call from this number, one of several we've had over the last few weeks. They constanly ask for a Sandra Tang. When told they have the wrong number they normally hang up but today the woman on the other end of the line wanted to know if I owned my house. When I asked who I was speaking to she put the phone down on me. I just want this to stop!

Again I received this number calling me. The number is not valid as it appears to a digit short. When I try calling the number it is not recognised.

Yes, I have recieved a number of calls from this number asking for a different name. Told them they have a wrong number but they keep calling

yes i keep getting these...had 5 today and everytime i ask who they are or say im not the person they r looking for they hang up! Im getting very sick of these calls and would love to know how i can stop them!

I find its best to say that you are the person they want then put the phone on the table and let them have a good old listen to sky sports soon pisses em off

Silent calls from this no. arrived after contacting
the mouseprise website about free house price evaluation for my fathers address. Cant call this no back as they barr incoming calls. When they call , someone is on the end of phone , but puts the phone down after 5 seconds of silence. This no. has a solihull area code in the west midlands and looks like it is a cold calling company. Both me and father are bit pissed off with them ! , Will tell father about leaving the call next to loud tv or music, nice one.

received calls from this number on few occassions. no one speaks up but just keeps ringing time and again. Any ideas?

Been having daily calls from this number since Friday 4 Jun always about 17.30. Answered the first one asked where they got my ex-directory number and pointed it was also on telephone preference service, they hung up but still call back daily and don't leave a message..

Received calls about 3 to 4 times over the last week or so, asked for someone who was not at the address the first time, cold calls ever since. Registered with TPS, does that not stop this sort of thing? Any suggestions to what possibly to do, might bar it if its cold calling only but should just not have to in the first place. Sympathise with all on here, only started recently.

Have had several calls from this number over past few days - just like everyone else here.
I am in the Derby region, if that proves to be the target of these cold callers.

Each time it is a marketing call (cold call, nuisance call...) call it what you will. Am entered on the TPS list as well.

The TPS list only makes it illegal (unlawful?) for a UK based company to call you. If the call originates from a foreign country, then TPS has no ability to pursue them.

Caller ID can be spoofed with relative ease. I do this from my internet phone to make it appear as though I am calling from my domestic phone line.

These phone calls are most annoying.
I was very suspicious of this, I would suggest you do not ring the number back just for safety's sake.  
I  will contact my phone company and see if they have any knowledge of this happening and then see if they can stop or report it to the relevent authority.

Elderly relative getting daily calls from this number. They just put the phone down when she answers and she is getting really scared.

I receive calls from this number on a daily basis.  I don't answer them but I would like to know how they got my number.  I was also plagued for several weeks by the "Lifestyle Research Company" which appeared to be calling from India, so I suspect it is the same company, and they are spoofing the number.  Do we have any legal remedy for this type of call?

Get 3 - 4 calls from this no, a day. Am in Scotland and they generally don't speak when I answer, then hang up. On the one occassion I have spoke to someone they asked for me in my married name ( which I have not used in 8 years), told me they were calling from the Lifestyle Research Company then hung up. I am gettin lg fed up of the constant calls and when try to call back get the response of "the number you have dialed has not been recognised.

This number called me today and didnt speak a word of english. And by that i dont mean the person was foreign they didnt use words but sounds. If youve ever seen the drunkest person on tv and rambling stuff you cant understand well thats the message theyve left on my answer machine. Bludy ridiculous.

We've been getting calls from this number daily. Just had another one and surpise no one was there they just hung up. Its really annoying me. Is there anyway to stop this? Tried contacting our service provider but they just said to sign up to TPS which doesnt appear to help from what i've read in the other messages on here. If anyone knows how to stop this then please let me know. Thanks.
