same here you pick up call and noone there, happens everyday !

called several times on a saturday, checking 1471 throughout the day always the same number.....who are they and what do they want !!!  and when do they stop ringing ??

I was being called 2 or 3 times a day by this number.I have since found out it is some sort of insurance sales rubbish.You can have your number removed from their dialing list by calling 0845 0560451.Hope this helps.

This number called me but when I answered it just rang off.

I have had at least two silent calls from this number including one this morning at about 10.20. Found this site from a Google search

Had a number of calls from this number 01606-45834  Each time I answer the phne there is never anyone there! Just a blank or an engaged line! I have Caller ID! So I have all the times that this person/people called

this number has kept calling my mobile and my home number, pain in the a*s, every time i answer i get total silence the they hang up, very annoying.

Thank you to all of you who have answered my question!!  I have had 3 calls from them in the last 3 days - thank god for caller ID and for those of you that have called back to find out who they are - I will make sure I never answer the phone when it rings with this number now!

Numerous calls from this number - never a reply and always engaged if you try and ring back - what a pain in the butt these people are

They called me tonight.

It rand at about 8:25 and no one answered.
I called back but it was engaged, then I called back later and it just rang.

I've complained to OfCom.

I suggest you do the same.

this number keeps calling but when i answer there is no-one there, i have rung the number back but its rings out to an answer machine saying FINANCIAL CONNECTIONS , to remove number form there DB you have to call an )*$% number that costs me money , scam me thinks

I rang the number back again and got a recorded message (after a long time of ringing!) to tell me to ring 0845 0560451 to be removed from their list.

Did as instructed, it took my number, read it back to me...let's see if it works.

01606 45834 called my home today, asking to speak to my daughter. I asked who was calling. They said 'Financial Connections'. I told them she wasn't in. They said they would call back later to speak to her. If they try to sell her Life Insurance, they've got no chance. She's still at Play School...too young to earn a wage and pay for life insurance!

They call al the time.
They sometimes just hang up on answer.
They ask for me by name.
We have said many times that noone by that name lives here and to stop calling, they just ring randomly when ever they like.
I agree that BT should allow you to block numbers from calling you.

Rang, hung up before I could answer, and then didn't respond when I rang back.  they say they are a collections agency regarding my insurance, only insurance I have is my car insurance, and they have nothing to do with that.

I have now referred this number to BBC's watchdog, told them to Google it.  Time to take a stand i feel.

Glad it is not just me getting these calls.  Got fed up of their daily calls so googled and found this site.

This number called me today asking for my girlfriends name.

By the time i said "Whos calling" she hung up
