I have had 6 calls today already, I have reported it again, if you all do the same it may get sorted.This has been going on for months now, I have actually blocked the number, but my phone still logs it.

keeps calling me over six weeks,rang me 5 times today on mobile,on fifth time spoke to a lady call kate,company name is CHAMELEON TELESALES,,managers name is james chapel,kate told me the phone number is only to ring out no incoming call

This bloody company keep calling me its becoming a pain in the arse, I did a bit of hunting around the web and found that they are called Chameleon Telesales 0845 6881233, they are a telle marketing company with an AUTO dialer.

Phone them and tell them to take you off of there list or you will take legal action, it worked for me as i have had no more calls

Have had these idiots ring me constantly for the past couple of weeks now. Finally managed to answer the phone and actually speak to someone. I asked the guy where he got nmy details from and he said he was calling about a car accident I may or may not have had within the last 2 1/2 years. I asked him to confirm my registration number, which he couln't. I asked him where he got my details he kept mention a 3rd party company, who he wouldnt confirm either. I then asked where and when the accident was, the other type of car, all details which couldnt be confirmed. I said 'look mate this all sounds a bit vague, this is just a speculative call to see if I am stupid enough to give you any details isnt it?' He then went into some spiel about this that and the other. in the end I told him to lose my details and he said he;d already done so then hung up! Dont be fooled by these idiots! Just keep them on the phone as long as you can and ask them a 101 questions!

Just got another call from this (was enjoying a lovely mid-afternoon nap). Called them on 0845 6881233 and asked them to remove our number from their database. Made them aware that we are both ex-directory and TPS registered and that any more calls to my number would result in a nuisance call log being raised.

The lady I spoke to was very polite in all fairness - maybe just give them a call and ask them to remove you from their database.

Received another call less than 1hr later. Just reported them to the BT Nuisance Call line.

Im getting 2 or 3 calls from this number every day when I answer they hang up every time.  Iv'e not tried to call back after looking at previous comments

This number calls me about 5 or 6 times a day for the last few days and shows no signs of giving up, no ap message, no answer when you ring back, just a pain in the a**

i have had loads and loads and loads of calls from this number - i would say over 50 in the last two weeks. having read this forum though, i never answer it.

it started after immediately after getting car insurance quotes online!

my mobile kept ringing, ist time i said hold on a second cut off kept trying to ring back strange ring tone rang once then cut off got home tried land line same thing then googled number got this site, also when i switched computer on got a rogue windows anti virus 2009 trying to download ran a antivirus to get rid of iti do not suppose it was connected?

Driving me insane!!! Wish they'd leave me alone. Get two or three calls every day, have done for the last few weeks. When I answer they hang up. Then when i try to ring back I get nothing Argh!

same as everyone else really, but I called the 0845 number, as they are actually a Stockport (SK3) company.  Spoke to Natalie and asked her no.1 - how did they actually obtain my details, and no.2 please remove me from their lists.  She told me she would remove me and also said she would call me back with info on how they obtained my details.  Will update when/if she does!

Quick update on above message! Just received my return call from Natalie on 0161 495 7369. She informed me that my details were passed onto them from a company called insureyourcar.com.  They are just a marketing company who are following up leads.
So, simple message really!  DO NOT USE INSURE YOUR CAR DOT COM! They will sell your details to a third party!
Can I also add that Natalie was lovely to deal with and she has assured me that my details have been removed from their system now.
So, hopefully! no more calls!

Missed call but when googled it glad i didn't answer as sounds like a scam!

Called by this number and got cut off as soon as I answered. Thanks for comments, I will not be ringing it back

Got a call from them today, they claimed to be 'e-car insurance' calling about an accident in May'07 (which is correct).  I couldn't get any details from them unless I was willing to go though 'data protection' questions, ie asking for my postcode etc.  I refused to give them anything so terminated the call.

I tried to phone on all the numbers listed in the previous posts but they all seem disconnected or dead.

I've also passed their details onto : Claims Management Regulation Monitoring and Compliance Unit (www.claimsregulation.gov.uk) with a link to this thread.

This company are cold calling and misrepresenting who they are so should be stopped.

Several calls now, just dead when I answer it though.
