- moggymanzebra financial. Something to do with loans, sound like they buy your info from somewhere and then try and flog you something! I have asked to be taken off their system...Lets see if it acually happens!
- AdieThese guys offer you debt management, claiming to offer IVA's and all sorts. They claim they don't know where they got my number from and that my details are on their system. Ive asked to be taken off too, but that prob wont happen.
- Hush| 9 repliesGot a call from this company. As said above they are Zebra Money Management, which is a trading name of Lead Source LTD (Company Registration No. 04237293). Zebra Money Management operate from '17-19 Mumps, Oldham' (Address supplied by call centre supervisor). A quick check confirmed that there is another company (The Debt Angel) operating out of '17-19 Mumps, Oldham'. Surprise, surprise - they are also a trading name of Lead Source LTD.
The supervisor claims that my telephone number (which has been registered with the TPS for many months now), was supplied by a company called First Finance. She is of the impression that because the details were supplied by another company they have no responsibility to check the TPS (which is incorrect).
The supervisor claimed that the call centre was only set up this month (as I informed her that we had received a number of calls from their number over the past few months. However, their web-site carries a blog - with entries dating back to December last year which suggests to me that she was lying.
The most worrying part is that both Zebra Money Management and The Debt Angel have the same free phone telephone number listed in their contact details - which suggests to me that The Debt Angel got into trouble and everything was closed down and re-opened as Zebra Money Management. An estimation which is further confirmed by the fact that both 'companies' have 2 Case Studies of assisted clients that are word for word faxcimilies.
I will be bringing this company to the attention of OFTEL and the TPS. I urge all others that have registered with the TPS but still receive cold calls from this company to do the same.- Caller: Zebra Money Management
- AdamJust had a call from them. Said I'd applied for a loan with an associate company, and that they wanted to know if I was OK with debts. Nice enough woman, and I told her that I wasn't prepared to discuss it with a stranger. She said "OK" and hung up.
- Caller: Zebra Money Management
- John CoadyThis number called me and the phone only rang twice. When i picked the phone up from the base it stopped ringing before i even answered it.
- Caller: Do not know
- Billy Wilson| 1 replyAsked me whether or not i eat bacon and would i like to buy any undies.

- T BrisI keep getting calls from this number on my mobile & home land line. When i answer it the wait a few seconds then hang up
- Guest replies to Hush| 7 repliesWrong, Zebra Money Management has no responsibility to check for registration for Telephone Preference service whatsoever, the company supplying the details does. And whats this myth about mobile numbers on the TPS? Mobile numbers are not and have never been allowed to be registered on the TPS!!
The Debt Angel was a debt management company that didnt disband because of poor management, but rather lack of business because all they relied on were inbound calls. They then closed for business, and a new management team stepped in with a brand new dialling system worth several thousand pounds, and now Zebra are the fast growing debt management company, taking clients off more established companies because of cheap fees and superior customer service.
Furthermore, everysingle piece of data they receive in to the company, is acquired legally. Anyone who says they've never applied for a loan or anything is LYING. People cant just guess a name, a number, a postcode and an address and get them all magically right, so regardless of if you think your right when your giving people grief down the phone for doing their jobs, YOUR WRONG. You have given your details out and not ticked the "no permission" box at the bottom of the query forms.
As for multiple calls, once a debt management company has spoken to a potential client and that client has said to take them off the database, they will do it. Not just because its a legal requirement, but because why the hell would they waste their time chasing people who have told them adamently that theyre not interested? I swear some members of the public are just so stupid its unbelievable. Final point, the 0161 number. Do you know how many companies in the UK start with the numbers "0161 621?" yes, thats right, 193.
How did know all this information? Because I was part of the Offices of Fair Trading and Standards that paid them their recent visit. Impeccable i must say. MUCH better than a numerous ammound of Debt management companies out there - Anne replies to GuestI wonder if you are an employee of Zebra Money Management? No member of the OFT would post in such a manner as you have done. They certainly would not use such appalling grammar, either!
- DaveDefo an employee of them Clowns.
- CruncherI received a call from them, they said they got my details from a firm I had never even heard of. It was an obscure name, sounding foreign.
I played along with these people and the following is what they sent me.
Following your conversation with Alan please find attached your documents to look over, i understand that Alan will be calling you this evening to discuss further. If you are happy with the plan we can instruct one of our agents to come out to you to collect the documents.
The debit card form also attached is for your first payment and all subsequent payments will be by standing order from the following month.
For the first initial month we will retain 80% of your payment as fee’s and 20% distributed out to creditors this will cover our costs in setting up your plan. From month 2 we will retain a management fee of 13% of your monthly payment which equates to £78 to cover the cost of administration and dealing with your creditors on your behalf.
The time frame given to pay your debts back in is 4 years and 11 month.
If you have any further questions or queries regard to your plan please do not hesitate to call the office on 0800 007 5808 or reply via e-mail.
***** Please note if you bank with Lloyds TSB of who your debts are with you will require a bank change to who you owe no money to. This step is taken as a precaution as Lloyds TSB will have control over your money and can withdraw funds from your account to cover the payments or maybe arrears. This in turn would leave you short of monies for normal day to day living expenses- Caller: Zebra money management
- Loubie69Why do you people let a cold caller bother you so much? They work in a cll centre...HELLO!!!
- freddyfsadly there are numerous people who have a need for this type of service, whilst it is a pain to the rest of us - me included... its no worse than double glazing or insurance salesmen.
I guess we all need to make a living somehow - forthepeople replies to Guest| 3 repliesYou certainly don't work for OFT, my wife has worked for them for many years and as I brought this to her attention.....well she laughed. Your use of grammar and punctuation to get your point across is ridiculous, OFT would not allow their employee's to write a letter or even communicate in this way.
Furthermore, if you were with OFT why can't you investigate this instead of repeatedly telling people they're wrong? Or even provide an email address so we can complain? I tell you for why, as your just an employee at Zebra Money Management that was provided with the task of "putting us straight". You do repeatedly call numbers that you have obtained illegally, as your telephone sales department have call targets (usually per day) this explains why when you call folk they hang up and move on to the next number and so on, on a daily basis as your system won't show up repeated calls to the one number.
It's ridiculous that company's are allowed to set up and trade this way. And you should be ashamed to work for such a company. - AnnoyedLead Source Limited

They just wanted my cash and nothing else. I got them to send me a pack...just for the hell of it! At least they have to pay the stamp to send it!

- Sophie| 4 repliesI also received a call from this company on my home phone, I actually pulled the guy up on it and asked if he was from one of those company's that would ask for my bank details, then take money from my account without permission, he actually SHUT UP for a minute, and told me I made him lose his trail of thought, he sounded nervous after that and was quick to get off the phone, however they are still ringing my phone every evening. Its safe to say, these people are trying to SCAM you so please report them and do not give them any of your details.

- Harry replies to Sophie| 3 repliesSophie,
There is a reason into why they have your details...........because of your credit rating and possibly the adverse credit you may have. I got the very same phone call you got and I was content with taking the call, as i had endured a stressful period with my finances and thanks to Zebra Money Management it has helped a lot. Two years down the line, I haven't had any faults with them and they have been very open and honest with me regarding my situation. I would suggest that you take a step back and not to jump to conclusions, as it may just help you, like they have for me. If they are a SCAM, as you may say, why is it they have help turn my life and personal life around?!?!
Regards
H. Jones
