I just received another text on my mobile, but it said to stop text STOP to 61009

I had the same thing happen to me today from this apparent swinton. (also no number)
The text message says.........

Tracey is your car insurance renewal due on 12/07/2012?
Call Swinton on 08009542984, to find out more about our
great cashback deals. Calls may be recorded. To stop
reply STOP to 61009

My name is not tracey and i have only had the phone for a few months, would never give my number out to anything.

I would never reply to somthing like this for obvious reasons, and same goes foe calling the 0800 number.

I am concerned as i have had a simular thing happen to me on an old number of mine, and every text message i recived i got charged £1.50. i typed in the number like i have tried for this one into google and there was a huge forum, with thousands of people, complaining about the same scam.
not the same it seems in this case, (so far)

Could you let me know if you have any joy please, as i am worried, and i have enough loody worries when it comes to money, as we all do these days.

0800 072 9018 call this number which is Swinton and ask them to take your name off their database. They did it for me whilst I stayed on the phine and took about 1 minute.
Very irritating and if I ever did want insurance, bacause they have hassled me by continually sending me texts etc, I woudl never use them in future so their marketing has worked agaist them. Idiots.
