Matchmaker Marketing - Cold Call, very annoying and wouldn't respond to a polite no thanks!

Spoken to a few cold calls from Matchmaker marketing and all have been to the same telephone sales school for dummies.
They try not to give you yes/no answers, they don't take no as an answer, they are incredulous when you don't take their product, they try to bully you into taking their services, they are pretty rude.
Not sure if this is just a call centre acting on behalf of Matchmaker but they really don't do themselves any favours!

We are on the TPS list and should not get calls form companies like this.

Just had this lot phone one of our worklines.
Stupidly they are trying to offer services to us, that we already provide to clients .... morons

HERE IS A TIP ON HOW TO STOP THESE CALLS GETTING THROUGH:

If your phone has a 'Blacklist' program, then simply put that number into this program.  Then, when the number calls next time, automatically your phone will cancel the call even before it rings.  The person who is phoning you will just hear a dead ringing tone.

You can search online to see if you can get the program for your particular make/model of phone.

Marketing call from Matchmaker, obviously following a script. Asking things like "wouldn't it be good for business if more people visited your website?" etc, getting me to agree with their ideas before trying to sell some kind of web search product.

I told them I was TPS registered, the lady asked why I put my number online if that was the case. Well, duh, I want *customers* to ring! But not salespeople!

I was silly enough to go with these guys for a  1 MONTH TRIAL, they debited money monthly without authorisation and further morestill refusing to refund it! Avoid them like the plague

I had a number of phone calls from a very persistent lady claiming to be "calling on behalf of Google" and really laying into Yell.com.

Her tel. no. was withheld until the most recent one (01619417944) where I was guided to their website www.matchmakermarketing.co.uk/ 

I've called Google's London Office and reported this incident and it has now gone to their legal department for review as they have no affiliation with Google and I’ve been assured it is a scam.

As has been said before, avoid like the plague!!

Called me several times. I never answered. Also called my mobile number.  I've only been having these calls since I took out a yell.com advert.

I have worked for this company in the past, and can confirm that they encourage their sales staff to search yell.com for businesses, call them citing they're calling on behalf of google, and bully them into taking out a months trial with the advertising, stating that they guarauntee you to be in the sponsored links area on your chosen key phrases.
Infact, you will occasionally be in the sponsored links area on your phrases, however this could be as little as an hour a day.
Highly aggressive cold calling.

I have just had a call from this mickey mouse company offering me an internet services product which I already offer to my clients!!?  I tried to say No thanks to which i received laughter?  I asked what he was laughing at and he said I'm just trying to read between the lines??  I said again that I'm not interested and he replied, 'I'm going to call your clients direct then'!!!!  How dare some [***] on the phone threaten to take such action.

I called them back and spoke to one of the managers who said she will deal with the individual concerned.  After reading the comments here I am not too sure any action will be taken.

I had a call from this number too. 2 days after I took out a yell.com advert too. I answered and the person as for myself by my full name and then by my business name. The yell.com people are the only people with my name attached to this business.. So I am under no doubt that YELL.COM sold or somewhere there stole my details and sold them on. I won't be answering this number again.

I've had them call for the umpteenth time, claiming I'd submitted an enquiry from their website; I said they'd been spammed and then he started getting very aggressive and demanded to know my name and who owned the business. I was perfectly polite, told him I didn't expect to be cross-examined about who I was and he responded @I don't expect to be spoken to like a ****head and hung up!  Charming.

If these people tell you they have an exclusive contract with GOOGLE, then RIP INTO THEM. Google do no such deals. I just had a rant at one of their stupid callers who lied to me about this. They are a company who use their 'Google Professional' qualification to bend the truth and pretend they work exclusively for google. They are just using AdWords - anyone could set up their own account and do this themselves.

Please be careful if you plan to use this company. They have been telling people that my company (which I won't name) is a client of theirs, because it features on the front page of Google for the relevent seacrh terms. As you'll have guessed, we have never done business with Matchmaker Marketing, so this a complete lie.

This company phoned me, salesman said he was phoning after seeing my ad on yell.com, the salesperon was noisy, wouldn't shut up, took a while to answer a direct question and chewing gum, very loud. Pestered me for my bank details to obtain direct debit. Thought I would look this number up on www.whocallsme.com, glad I did reading all this info, now I'm waiting for him to phone back?

I recieved a call from these people about a week ago, they placed me on Google straight away, I am a driving instructor and I actually received a phone call from someone that found me on the first page and they made a block booking for 20 lessons. I don't see the problem with this company, they did exactly what they said they would for me, If it's true that they don't work directly with google then I don't know how they got me there but they did.
I used to be with google adwords on the 3rd page, not the 1st and i was paying £50 a month sometimes more, now i'm on the first page paying less than that. I'm happy

Received the call from this company and said about www.whocallsme.com so Winstan said he would look into it, at 14:14 from a woman saying Winstan had gone home poorly and said sh was ready to take my order?????? I said have a look on this site, she went on and on and on, like Winstan and would not listen so I just said godbless and hung up now looking on this site again a woman called Jennifer with a driving school says she likes this company look at the time I took this call from a desperate woman then look at the time Jennifer decided to write in mmm, please will someone phone Mrs Marples
