This telephone number has called but hung up when answered it was 19.19 in the evening

called Saturday morning asking for my wife. When I asked who was calling the girl hung up.  Sounded like an Asian based call centre.

  who or what, ??  I am SUPPOSED  to be on the TPS   system.
I also have a loud whistle.....and will not hesitate to use it...

As you have already identified the call as international you must be aware (see the TPS website) that they have no influence over calls from overseas.    We do not have a "DO NOT CALL" facility in this country.   We are left to our own devices, whether that be caller blockers or robust whistles.

Rang off when answer phone cut In no message .

Just rang but when I answered it went dead.

This person called asking for myself.  I said can I ask who is calling, they replied is this mrs b again I asked can I ask whos calling, their reply was then you can ask but im not going to tell you ha ha ha and then hung up.

This number called asking for my mother. When I said they weren't in, they asked if I was a family member, I didn't want to do a survey so I said I was the babysitter. They then started asking about my mum's last name saying it was weird, when I asked what they were calling about they said "I'm calling about that" laughed and then hung up.  

Had a call 7.15 about a wanting info - on my location. Gave him lecture on cold calling in an evening - why should I give info to some random caller - he was a little upset and got angry and hung up. Result.

Called again but hung up on answer phone cutting in .

Your lucky I was called 3 times in the end I told him I would let him have my feedback for a fee of £100 ( paid by standing order or bankers draft !!!) he then called me back and called me a F*****G common wh**e !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well far from it mate I'm actually a Lady .
Get a BT phone and use the blocking system .........no more calls from Mr Nice guy ..........

Keeps call asking for mr Willson, caller is pakistan or asian, call center, as i can hear other voices in the background,

Just spoken to BT again................they now have the ultimate unwanted call stopper !
A phone called a BT 8500 which costs around £40.00 ( including p & p ) it will block 1000 calls .......1000 !!!
Not just this but you put all your family , friends and wanted numbers into the phone all other calls are answered by your phone which  then it calls you,  giving you the name etc of the caller YOU can decided if you want this call or not .
IF this isn't the best thing since sliced bread ... at last how to  really stop all  those dam annoying unwanted calls and block a thousand : international , no number , unavailable and UK numbers which these company's have gained by hook or by crook to call us all on trying to get our information for their gain .

We have had several calls asking to do a survey. I have told them to take my number off their system as it is now becoming a bullying issue. Next step is to threaten them legally.

I got a call from these - they hung up before speaking to me.....

Change your telephone and internet provider!!  I am on TalkTalk, and I just dial a number, hit star twice, ad the last caller is forever blocked from calling me again.  And this service is totally FREE.

Same as others have described.  A long pause, then noise from an Indian call centre.  Man with a bad accent asked "Is that [my suremane]"    I said "What are you trying to sell?" - and he hung up.

As I have TalkTalk, I used my free call blocking service and that number can never bother me again.  :)

I am with talk talk and I have not heard of this dialing a number and hitting star  twice to block I will have to contact talktalk to find out about this
