Phones claiming theres an issue with your windows software on your pc (I know mine is fine) when asked where they got my number from, got aggresive saying I would believe my eyes if they could show me.

company trying to sell you protection for computers. They tell you they have received reports from Microsoft that there is a problem with your computer. I told them that I hadn't used mine in a long time so that can't be true and I hung up.

Got the same call obviously a non genuine call , a scam call getting a little bit fed with the calls

Got call at 5.17pm saying I had a problem with my windows being hacked. Didn't know what to do. Got number by 1471.  could phone them back.  should I? Strong Asian accent - did not catch who they start they were.  Thought it was double glazing to start with.

No do not 'phone them back.  Anyone who cold calls saying there is a problem with your computer is a scammer.  There are no exceptions.  The only people who know about your computer are Microsoft and neither they. nor their partners, would ever 'phone.  There is a warning on the Microsoft website about this scam, which is probably the longest running on this website.  The bottom line is that you should never, ever, give remote computer access to a cold caller.

I get calls like this about one a week. When I say Microsoft would not be calling me the caller does not listen, when I ask a question it obviously is not on their script. And I love the English names with a strong Indian accent! Just never give any information, not even your name. The frustration in their voices and rudeness when my responses are not to their liking indicate scam failure again! So why has nothing happened to stop them yet?

Call from this number today but not a computer scam this time but apparently a marketing survey for "Savings for All".

How are people still falling for this?? I get these calls regularly and I don't even have a PC. I have a Mac. Sometimes it's fun to string the little blighters along for a while but, really, life is too short.

Just had a call from these people regarding microsoft windows strong indian accent.  I said is this where you are wanting to speed up my internet, they said yes from microsoft word.  I told them they are breaking the law and they said no they were from microsoft. I said you are breaking the law by making this call and I hung up.

Phone rings and they cut call off call when transfered to answercall, twice today so far .

just had a call from this number, tried to tell me my pc has been sending out error messages and bad stuff for last 3 weeks, and that their Microsoft certified technicians can help if they can access my pc, I told them my other half is an MCT ( which he is) and our pcs are fine, man got all flustered and started stammering I told him remove my number and put the phone down.

9:15pm, 3 kids in bed and they call. Ridiculous.

Yes, it's really, yes, REALLY careless that these fraudster punks missed that part of the course that they should always call before your kids bedtime! At least they can have a lie in, rejoice.

Had call at 17.10 today. I asked which company he was calling from and was told Microsoft. I said that the caller was from a scam company and that he was a thief. These people are tenacious and won't give up even when you are rude. Either they are stupid or they think that we are.

got a call from this num today told him my pc was fine he was a bit nasty telling me no it is not sir i ask him for a contact num so i can look in to who they are and he give me the same num but the last 3 digits where diff every time i ask him to call the num out to me again lol

This number called me this morning when I answered they hung up, they did this three times in total, should be banned. This conservative government were supposed to be clamping down on scammers,

Got a call from this number at 7pm 9/4/15 just hung up when i answered
