Missed call to mobile and home number

this number is really making me mad - i have never contacted this number but they keep calling me on my mobile. how the hell did they get my number????

I received a missed call from this number - first time its shown up and decided to look for it on the internet as I did not recognise it.  Who are they and what do they want.  If its a finance company then I haven't applied for anything at all.  The only thing I've done on the internet lately is purchasing some travel insurance so could they have got my mobile number from moneysupermarket?

This number keeps ringing me and I dont know who they are or how they have got my number

I got a call from this number too however I answered it and they introduced the company and said it was a courtesy call for my boyfriend, no idea where they got my number from though and why they were asking for my boyfriend. Maybe he's been doing some dodgy dealings..... Have been getting loads of calls and missed calls from this number though and if its just a courtesy call you'd think they would give up.

I keep getting calls too.  Luckily I haven't answered them but it's really annoying as these are just one of many companies who seem to have my number without me having given it to them.  A while ago a company I applied to for a credit card (i think) sent me a letter announcing that someone had hacked their system and stolen lots of customer details, so maybe it's related to that, although I would imagine companies like this have some very dodgy means of getting hold of people's numbers...

Lots of people getting calls from this nyumber but as yet no constructive suggestions on dealing with it???????
Called me for the 1st time today- silence when I answered.

Are they possibly ringing to see if the number is in use in preparation for another Spamming exercise?

Just had a nother call from this number and somebody from Portfield Finance was at the other end!! I told them about what I'd read on this web-site and that I didn't want to speak to them!

Have been recieving calls on both land line and mobile at stupid times of the day from 06.30 this morning to 23.30 one night last week, but never answered, so checked number and sure enough, another bloody company wanting something,will report to BT and Vodafone, hopefully then this stupidity will stop,if not then purhaps a posse and a burning will help,only an idea.

Called me and no one on the other end, several times now this number has called my mobile phone number. Have no idea how they got my number and would prefer it to stop

I am recieving three or four calls a day from this company , at the most inopportune times. It needs to stop

missed call from this number at 16:33 on 31 july 2008.  this isnt the 1st missed call from this number, but first time i have checked it.

just ringing me & putting the phone down on me.
