I picked the phone up almost as soon as it rang and was met with
silence then there was definitely someone on the other end who fumbled with their handpiece then hung up

Caller asked for a persoon who resiede at this address 10 years ago...whats all that about.this is the fourth time it happened???

There was silence, i generally hang up straight away if noone speaks as it's a sales call but I wasn't quick enough.  The man asked for me by name.  I immediately hung up.

The man phoned me back and asked if I hang up on people all the time.  I asked who he was, but he hung up on me!!

called today and asked for random name - when I said they didn't exist, they hung up!

I have been leaving the phone as this number has called numerous times.  Seems like they are checking that the numbers they have are live.

Had this a couple of times before from other numbers doing the same thing.

Answered phone but nobody spoke. This has happened before from the same number.

asked for somebody different when i said "who sorry" they hung up, waste of time idiots.....

this number called and asked to speak to a person who was a previous tenant at my address.  i said they had the wrong number as my number has been changed and my number is also ex-directory. they asked if i was the owner of the house and i replied no i'm a tenant. as i was about to enquire who they were they hung up.

i was told by someone who works for BT that this is a call-centre telephone number.  If you put a 6 in front of the 21418 then you should be abler to ring back.  Please try this and if anyone has any luck please post any findings on here.  Cheers

just calls in the day - i ignored

I had a call today and the same thing, someone seem to be their, fumbles around then hung up.  When I pressed 1471-3 the number was just constantly busy.

caller hung up immediately on answering. Called my buiness number in the middle of saturday morning - pure chance i was there as we don't work saturdays.

Follow this to have some fun--press 141 followed by their number, then put your phone on secrecy and listen to them squirm!!!!

Payback time--do this if you have time and only if its free for you to call the land line numbers of course.....They may understand how frustrating it can be--The more people call them back and give THEM the silent treatment, we could put them beggars out of business.

Just received a call from this number who asked for the previous tenant.  When I said they had left they hung up!

Keep getting calls from this number.

nobody spoke rang a couple of times. caller does not receive incoming calls.

just had phone call from this number and a lad asking for mrs wikouski?? have other witheld numbers ring and ask for this name.

i answerd the call they asked for my mother by sur name then they asked her for my daughter by her full name then hung up.When i tryed to ring back the line was dead i put a 6 in front like someone surgested it just rang out.  My daughter is only 11 and is very upset so i hope who is resposable is very happy with themself if nthis continues i will report it to the police

just been called from this number and asked if my mum was there, i said no! they said "no what?" i bluntly replied no and they hung up :S
