these guys ring my phone 5 times a day. if anyone knows how to block this number please share.

Called number and Lady advise gets loads of calls a day but seems to be a marketing scam as when you dial it it automatically puts you through to 01782 267300 which is a residential number

This numbers calls me every few days!!... if anyone finds a way toblock it, please post so i can do the same!!  :(

I just had a call from these guys - they said they were Vodafone and wanted to offer me an upgrade and wanted me to confirm my address and postcode.  Conversation went something like:

Me:  "how do I know you're from Vodafone?"

guy: "Well, I know your name and that you've got a Voda contract and got your phone from Phones4U"

Me:  "Well I've had people phoning me before claiming they're from Voda when they're not.  Tell me what phone I've got"

guy: "Well I can't do that as it would be a breach of data protection"

Me:  "Well can I ring you back when I've verified the number?"

guy: "No - we're an outbound only department"

Me:  "Well I'll leave it then"

he sounded really pissed off........then when I googled the number I found this forum so was very pleased I'd stuck to my guns......cheeky beggers.

I've been with Phones4U for a few years but won't go back because of the constant pestering phonecalls to renew my contract, plus I don't like the attitude of the "kids" in my local shop.  Last time I went in all they could talk about in front of customers was how hung over they were and how they couldn't wait for the day to be over - very professional!

Get a phone call from these every day. I have just received a new phone from another source, but use my old phone for the time being. Some how they have got my new number and are pestering me on that

I've had this number come up many times, and have spoken to them on two occasions.  Each time they asked for personal details, which I refused to give.  The second time I asked them to remove me from their list as I did not want to deal with them any more, and the bloke said they can't do this unless I confrim who I am.  The rang me!!!! Idiots!  I haven't had a call since, but if I do, I'll be reporting htem to the TPS.

I keep getting calls from this number too... I'm going to wait until I get angrier at them or am in a bad mood and report them to Ofcom.

I have had 10 calls in 2 days!!!!! its realy getting on my T*T*. but my contract isent even with phones 4 you, and wen they phone they just put it down without saying a word >=( realy annoying!!!! if it carries on im gong to cancle my contract even though it isent the company that im with phoning me. someone kneeds to get a life whoever started all this..

I have been receiving numerous calls from 01782673000.  I haven't rung back as I do not recognise the number.  After googling it low and behold I find this website...

I keep getting calls from Phones 4 u, with them requesting info on my details without me being in contract with them, so ive done a bit of research.

If you are happy to receive telemarketing calls from some companies but not others, contact the companies who you do not wish to hear from and ask them to remove your details from their call lists. All companies - including charities and voluntary organisations - are required to respect your wishes.

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is responsible for the enforcement of these regulations. Which means by law they must do this, further more calls are recorded and indicates proof you have requested this.

If the calls persist register your mobile or any other number with the TPS to stop the call centres.

The 01782 673000 number *should* be Phones4u's outbound campaign CLI. From past experience to remove yourself off Phones4u Direct Dialling contact list , call 0800 294 6090
This is an automated process and i believe that your number is removed within 48 hours

Alternatively call the customer care line and ask to be removed from the lists etc.

I'm getting loads of calls from them at the moment, but when i answer they hang up. Grrr.

Seems I'm suffering same as you guys, calls on 6/12 and 11/12. Didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number, googled and found this. Will ignore in future....

They called me about 5 times today, good that I had my phone on silent.. this is kinda annoying.. Have they not got anythign better to do?

Soon i pick up i can hear office backgorund then there hang up, its like there want me to phone back so i pay them for the call, i think its just a scam one them £1.50min calls or more so there get money off you when you call them

I get 10 calls a day from this number and it is really annoying i dont answer it and dont know how they got my number either. They are royally pissing me off.

I have been getting this number calling me several times a day, and one of em was at 9.36pm - they even left a voicemail which was just nothing for about 15secs. It's bordering on harrassment!
