Had a couple of these "You have won a holiday, press 9 on your keypad now!" pre-recorded messages. Reported to TPS.

I work for a small business and we have just had 3 of these calls in 2mins, It may have cost alot but we desided to press 9 and try and talk to someone and have our number removed. A very nice American accented woman said that she would remove us.

Did 1471 and found we had been called by this number today whilst we were out at work.

Had same call 8-45am.

Anyone know who they are. Last week I had a message from a company called Alpha Travel( on a different number) saying to call them before 15:00 - no reason given. As above mentions winning holidays etc are they the same company?

had a call at 3.45pm uk time.griffen there used to be firm called alpha travel in birmingham over 20 years that did very cheap short cruise breaks but i dont think are going any longer

Just called by this number, answered and they put the phone down......

We're ex-directory, TPS etc to avoid unsolicited calls.  But, I understand that there is nothing one can do about random dialing.

We're also registered with TPS but if this number is an automated dialling system I suppose that explains it.  Found this number when dialled 1471 on return home and decided to "Google" it as it's such an unusual number.

I am also registered with TPS and I have also just been called - but I didn't answer.

0178999999999 they called me at 12-30pm i ended the call quick as i could, just incase i get charged.

Just got a call off them now, didn't answer cause the number looked dodgy. Googled it. Glad I didn't now :).

Got a call from the AT 9 pm at night, also after 11

just answered a call form this number, no one was talking, just silence.....

Just answered to find the sound of silence! We'ver also TPS registered... will they actually do anything? It took me several 1471 calls to count all of their 9s!

It called early this evening.  I heard about two seconds of an American recorded voice telling me I'd won something, then put the phone down.  This *looks* like a UK number but it's unobtainable when you ring it back: is this an international call that has somehow managed to forge the CLI?

Had call today. This company (& others like them) are a pestilential nuisance. I'm registered with TPS, but they appear to be based outside the UK & therefore beyond the reach of TPS. If anyone is able to find a postal address for them, it would be helpful to publicise it.  Then we could maybe bombard then with (unstamped) mail & inconvenience them in the same way that they inconvenience us.

I am on telephone pref' service so why is this company phoning me if it is a random call, how come it has happended over and over again.
I dont have the company name, I usually hang up
